massRace Condition in Windows TCP/IP Enables Local Privilege Escalation
CVE-2026-69404 is a race condition (CWE-362, improper synchronization when concurrently accessing a shared resource) in the Windows TCP/IP component. It is triggered by an authorized, low-privileged local user running code that races concurrent operations against the TCP/IP stack; the high attack complexity (AC:H) means successful timing is difficult and may require repeated attempts. A successful exploit elevates the attacker's privileges locally, and the CVSS impact metrics (high for confidentiality, integrity, and availability) indicate a full compromise of the host is possible. Any Windows deployment running the affected TCP/IP component is exposed, though only from actors or processes with local code execution. As of now there is no known public proof of concept, the flaw is not in CISA KEV, and EPSS puts 30-day exploitation probability at just 0.2% (9th percentile).
