CVE-2026-83081
nicheUnauthenticated Adjacent-Network Data Tampering in Oracle Banking Corporate Lending
A difficult-to-exploit unauthenticated vulnerability exists in the Core component of Oracle Banking Corporate Lending (OBCU), affecting versions 14.5.0.0.0 through 14.9.0.0.0. Exploitation requires the attacker to have access to the physical communication segment attached to the hardware where the application executes (adjacent-network attack vector), with no privileges or user interaction required. A successful attack can allow unauthorized creation, deletion, or modification of critical data — or all data accessible to Oracle Banking Corporate Lending — as well as unauthorized read access to that data, and because the scope changes, other products in the environment may also be impacted. The flaw carries a CVSS 3.1 base score of 8.0 (high), driven by high confidentiality and integrity impacts, though availability is unaffected. There is no known public proof of concept and no indication of in-the-wild exploitation.
What to do: Apply the Oracle Critical Patch Update that addresses this flaw to all Oracle Banking Corporate Lending 14.5-14.9 installations. Since exploitation requires access to the physical network segment hosting the application, enforce strict network segmentation and access controls (802.1X, firewall rules, jump hosts) so only legitimate backend systems and operators can reach those segments. Review audit logs for unexplained data creation, modification, or deletion in lending records, and verify whether other applications sharing that network segment could be affected given the scope change.

Vulnerability in the Oracle Banking Corporate Lending product of Oracle Financial Services Applications (component: Core). Supported versions that are affected are 14.5.0.0.0-14.9.0.0.0. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with access to the physical communication segment attached to the hardware where the Oracle Banking Corporate Lending executes to compromise Oracle Banking Corporate Lending. While the vulnerability is in Oracle Banking Corporate Lending, attacks may significantly impact additional products (scope change). Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized creation, deletion or modification access to critical data or all Oracle Banking Corporate Lending accessible data as well as unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle Banking Corporate Lending accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 8.0 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:A/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:N).
