A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability was found in the File Explorer on the ADM. The vulnerability occurs because user-controlled input is not properly validated before being decoded and copied into a fixed-size stack buffer. An authenticated attacker can exploit this issue to cause denial of service of the affected CGI process. Further impact may be possible depending on exploitability and runtime protections. Affected products and versions include: from ADM 4.1.0 through ADM 4.3.3.RUN1 as well as from ADM 5.0.0 through ADM 5.1.3.RI81.

A command injection vulnerability was found in the PPTP VPN Clients on the ADM. The vulnerability allows an administrative user to break out of the restricted web environment and execute arbitrary code on the underlying operating system. This occurs due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input before it is passed to a system shell. Successful exploitation allows an attacker to achieve Remote Code Execution (RCE) and fully compromise the system. Affected products and versions include: from ADM 4.1.0 through ADM 4.3.3.RR42 as well as from ADM 5.0.0 through ADM 5.1.2.REO1.

The FTP Backup on the ADM does not properly sanitize filenames received from the FTP server when parsing directory listings. A malicious server or MITM attacker can craft filenames containing path traversal sequences, causing the client to write files outside the intended backup directory. A path traversal vulnerability may allow an attacker to overwrite arbitrary files on the system and potentially achieve privilege escalation or remote code execution. Affected products and versions include: from ADM 4.1.0 through ADM 4.3.3.ROF1 as well as from ADM 5.0.0 through ADM 5.1.2.RE51.

When a specific function is enabled while joining a AD Domain from ADM, an improper input parameters validation vulnerability in a specific CGI program allowing an unauthenticated remote attacker to write arbitrary data to any file on the system. By exploiting this vulnerability, attackers can overwrite critical system files, leading to a complete system compromise. Affected products and versions include: from ADM 4.1.0 through ADM 4.3.3.ROF1 as well as from ADM 5.0.0 through ADM 5.1.1.RCI1.

When the user set the Notification's sender to send emails to the SMTP server via msmtp, an improper validated TLS/SSL certificates allows an attacker who can intercept network traffic between the SMTP client and server to execute a man-in-the-middle (MITM) attack, which may obtain the sensitive information of the SMTP. Affected products and versions include: from ADM 4.1.0 through ADM 4.3.3.RKD2 as well as from ADM 5.0.0 through ADM 5.1.0.RN42.

An Arbitrary File Movement vulnerability was found in ASUSTOR Data Master (ADM) allows an attacker to exploit the file renaming feature to move files to unintended directories. Affected products and versions include: ADM 4.0.6.RIS1, 4.1.0 and below as well as ADM 4.2.2.RI61 and below.

Improper neutralization of special elements used in a command ('Command Injection') vulnerability in Printer service functionality in ASUSTOR Data Master (ADM) allows remote unauthorized users to execute arbitrary commands via unspecified vectors. Affected products and versions include: ADM 4.0.6.RIS1, 4.1.0 and below as well as ADM 4.2.2.RI61 and below.

EZ Sync service fails to adequately handle user input, allowing an attacker to navigate beyond the intended directory structure and delete files. Affected products and versions include: ADM 4.0.6.REG2, 4.1.0 and below as well as ADM 4.2.1.RGE2 and below.

Download Center fails to properly validate the file path submitted by a user, An attacker can exploit this vulnerability to gain unauthorized access to sensitive files or directories without appropriate permission restrictions. Download Center on ADM 4.0 and above will be affected. Affected products and versions include: Download Center 1.1.5.r1280 and below.

A Cross-Site Scripting(XSS) vulnerability was found on ADM, LooksGood and SoundsGood Apps. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability to inject malicious scripts into the target applications to access any cookies or sensitive information retained by the browser and used with that application. Affected products and versions include: ADM 4.0.6.REG2, 4.1.0 and below as well as ADM 4.2.1.RGE2 and below, LooksGood 2.0.0.R129 and below and SoundsGood 2.3.0.r1027 and below.

An issue was discovered in ASUSTOR exFAT Driver through 1.0.0.r20. When conducting license validation, exfat.cgi and exfatctl fail to properly validate server responses and pass unsanitized text to the system shell, resulting in code execution as root.

OS command injection in snmp.cgi in ASUSTOR ADM version 3.1.1 allows attackers to execute system commands without authentication via the "rocommunity" URL parameter.

ASUSTOR Data Master 3.1.5 and below allows authenticated remote non-administrative users to read any file on the file system when providing the full path to loginimage.cgi.
