The SMS Alert Order Notifications – WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation due to insufficient user OTP validation in the handleWpLoginCreateUserAction() function in all versions up to, and including, 3.8.1. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to impersonate any account by supplying its username or email and elevate their privileges to that of an administrator.

The SMS Alert Order Notifications – WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to privilege escalation via account takeover in all versions up to, and including, 3.7.9. This is due to the plugin using the Host header to determine if the plugin is in a playground environment. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to spoof the Host header to make the OTP code "1234" and authenticate as any user, including administrators.

This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to update arbitrary options on the WordPress site. This can be leveraged to update the default role for registration to administrator and enable user registration for attackers to gain administrative user access to a vulnerable site. Please note this requires the woocommerce-warranty plugin to be installed in order to be exploited.

This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the processBulkAction function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete pages and posts via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
