EspoCRM is an open source customer relationship management application. Prior to version 9.3.4, EspoCRM's built-in formula scripting engine allowing updating attachment's sourceId thus allowing an authenticated admin to overwrite the `sourceId` field on `Attachment` entities. Because `sourceId` is concatenated directly into a file path with no sanitization in `EspoUploadDir::getFilePath()`, an attacker can redirect any file read or write operation to an arbitrary path within the web server's `open_basedir` scope. Version 9.3.4 fixes the issue.

In versions 9.3.3 and below, the POST /api/v1/Email/importEml endpoint contains an Insecure Direct Object Reference (IDOR) vulnerability where the attacker-supplied fileId parameter is used to fetch any attachment directly from the repository without verifying that the current user has authorization to access it. Any authenticated user with Email:create and Import permissions can exploit this to read another user's .eml attachment contents by importing them as a new email into the attacker's mailbox, while the original victim attachment record is deleted as a side effect of the import flow. This is inconsistent with the standard attachment download path, which enforces ACL checks before returning file data, and is practically exploitable because attachment IDs are commonly exposed in normal UI and API workflows such as stream payloads and download links. This issue is fixed in version 9.3.4.

Attackers can obtain an authentication token for a controlled account and replay it against any victim account sharing the same password, since tokens are bound to password hashes rather than unique per-user values, bypassing the victim's 2FA protections.

An attacker with Knowledge Base edit permissions can embed a malicious SVG element containing a link in the body field of an article. When an authenticated user clicks the malicious link, they are redirected to an attacker-controlled HTML page that executes a CSRF request against the api/v1/User endpoint. If the victim is prompted for and enters their credentials, an attacker-controlled account is created with privileges determined by the CSRF payload. This issue has been patched in version 9.1.9.
