CVE-2026-8161
+2 in the same advisory: …8159 …8162
[email protected] and lower versions are vulnerable to denial of service via uncaught exception.

[email protected] and lower versions are vulnerable to denial of service via uncaught exception. By sending a multipart/form-data request with a field name that collides with an inherited Object.prototype property such as __proto__, constructor, or toString, the parser invokes .push() on the inherited prototype value rather than an array, throwing a TypeError that propagates as an uncaught exception and crashes the process. Impact: any service accepting multipart uploads via multiparty is affected. Workarounds: none. Upgrade to [email protected] or higher.

CVE-2026-4926
+2 in the same advisory: …4867 …4923
Impact: A bad regular expression is generated any time you have multiple sequential optional groups (curly brace syntax), such as `{a}{b}{c}:z`.

Impact: A bad regular expression is generated any time you have multiple sequential optional groups (curly brace syntax), such as `{a}{b}{c}:z`. The generated regex grows exponentially with the number of groups, causing denial of service. Patches: Fixed in version 8.4.0. Workarounds: Limit the number of sequential optional groups in route patterns. Avoid passing user-controlled input as route patterns.
