Spammers fined, students expelled

Positive news coming from the Netherlands.
The OPTA – which is the Dutch telecom ‘watchdog’ – has fined three Dutch spammers.
They will need to pay 42.500, 25.000 and 20.000 euros respectively.

The other news is that a high school has expelled three students for compromising school computers.
The students obtained confidential information belonging to teachers as well as other students and put it on the web.
What’s really good is that the school has decided to press charges against them.

I hope other schools will follow and take more drastic measures against students which compromise school computers.
