Details from the 2017 Workshop on Economics and Information Security

These papers do look really interesting. Any particular favorites or takeaways?

Seems like a true mix of economic, financial, actuarial and econometric papers in there. Some are looking to understand strategies, others make predictions about behavior, and other still to determine the order of events and the network effects at play (the bitcoin paper).

Not really sure what I though would be in the 16th Workshop on Economics and Information Security, but I guess that shouldn’t have been a surprise.

Anybody have any pointers to papers on making strategic decisions about trading off business risk, technical risk and security risk for software development?

I believe nothing short of legilation and re-insurance can tie the two together. In the end, everything is connected.
