How to connect AI usage to business value

OpenAI explained how ChatGPT Admin Console analytics link AI usage, spend, and Codex contributions to business outcomes.

OpenAI published guidance describing analytics features in the ChatGPT Admin Console that combine usage, credit, and token data across ChatGPT Work and Codex. The Insights task classifier groups messages into use cases such as software engineering and sales research, while an Outcomes view tracks Codex contributions to merged commits and lines of code. An Admin plugin and Admin API let teams automate reporting and combine AI analytics with business metrics like ticket resolution time or revenue.

Thelio Mira AI Linux Workstation: 192 GB GPU Memory

System76 launches the Thelio Mira AI Linux workstation from $3,299 with dual NVIDIA RTX Pro 6000 GPUs and 192 GB GPU memory for local AI workloads.

System76's Thelio Mira AI is a locally built (Denver, Colorado) Linux workstation for AI training, fine-tuning, and inference, starting at $3,299. Configurations go up to a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9000 CPU, 192 GB DDR5 RAM, and dual NVIDIA RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell GPUs delivering 192 GB of (ECC) GPU memory with liquid cooling, dual PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, and up to three M.2 NVMe drives. It ships with Pop!_OS 24.04 LTS or Ubuntu and is positioned as a way to avoid recurring cloud GPU costs.

AI labs have a data trust problem that their policies haven't solved

Nvidia, Palantir, and Booz Allen restrict Anthropic's Fable over data-retention distrust, exposing gaps in AI labs' customer data policies.

Nvidia limits Anthropic's Fable to non-sensitive work and runs its own Nemotron models for internal tasks, while Palantir blocks Fable deployment until Anthropic grants irrevocable zero-data-retention guarantees, and Booz Allen bans it for proprietary cybersecurity work. John Schulman and researcher Sarah Hooker explain that labs can still extract customer IP from metadata, user traces, and synthetic data even under zero data retention. The trust crisis crystallized around Tristan Buckmaster's accusation that OpenAI's Codex absorbed his Navier-Stokes drafts, though OpenAI later stated his prompts could not have influenced its model.

Heart of the Matter: How a Major Children’s Hospital Uses Open Source NVIDIA AI for Cardiac Care

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia uses NVIDIA open-source MONAI, Warp and Newton to build pediatric heart models in seconds for surgical planning.

CHOP's cardiac modeling service uses MONAI, Auto3DSeg and SlicerHeart to turn CT, MRI and 3D ultrasound images into anatomically precise heart models in seconds instead of four hours of manual work. More than 20 US children's hospitals run similar programs, with Boston Children's supporting roughly 500 cardiac surgery cases a year. NVIDIA's Newton physics engine, built on the Warp Python framework, aims to reduce device simulations from hours to near real time in clinical workflows.
