Perplexity released Portable Computer, a local version of its agentic Perplexity Computer, in its Windows app for NVIDIA GeForce RTX PCs and RTX PRO Workstations with 24GB or more VRAM. It runs a locally post-trained model such as Qwen 3.8 27B optimized for NVIDIA RTX GPUs, handling multistep tasks and file analysis on-device with a SPACE sandbox and built-in browser. Connectors cover Outlook, OneDrive, Word, Google Drive, Gmail, Slack, and GitHub, and the agent can escalate to cloud models only with user permission.

Snap is launching a new Specs AI tool, and it’s coming to iOS and Mac

Snap launches Specs Intelligence, an anticipatory AI assistant on iOS in preview with Mac early access, alongside its Specs AR glasses.

Snap introduced Specs Intelligence, an AI assistant that connects accounts like Gmail and Slack to proactively surface tasks such as meeting prep and travel planning. It is available on iOS in preview today, with a waitlisted Mac early-access experience, launching alongside Snap's first consumer AR glasses, Specs. Snap says it runs a proprietary mix of open-source models hosted in the US alongside local LLMs, and claims connected personal content will not train its models or serve personalized ads. The company must still win user trust given the assistant's broad access to personal data.

At Salesforce Dreamforce, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang joined Marc Benioff onstage as Salesforce announced Koa, its first CRM reasoning model, post-trained from NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super using NeMo RL, NeMo Gym, and NeMo AutoModel. Koa was fine-tuned on a proprietary synthetic dataset drawn from nearly three decades of enterprise CRM deployments across 14+ industries, with no customer data used in training or inference. On Salesforce's CRM Bench of real-world tasks, Koa matches or exceeds leading model performance on CRM actions with 3x fewer errors. Koa already powers an employee agent in Slack, enters customer pilots in October with Formula 1, UChicago Medicine, Baxter Credit Union, 1-800Accountant, Engine, and Xero, and reaches general availability in Winter 2026 in U.S. regions.

Former TikTok employees Melody Chu and Jing Liu launched Superpose, an iOS camera app that generates four AI pose suggestions per photo, with over 22,000 downloads and 190,000 poses generated since July. The app offers five free generations daily, with paid packs of five for $2.99 or 20 for $9.99. The startup raised $2.2 million from Khosla Ventures, Meitu, and OVTR VC, competing with Google's Camera Coach and Adobe's AI photo critique features.
