Perplexity trusts GPT-6 Astra with end-to-end systems

OpenAI published a customer case study describing how Perplexity, the AI-powered answer engine, uses the GPT-6 Astra model via API. Perplexity also asks Astra to build small test programs that stand in for external services, such as language model APIs and connectors, to verify applications end to end. Ho claims the team checks on the model's work much less frequently than with previous models.
