Flock cameras are riddled with security vulnerabilities and hardcoded creds

Leaked Flock ALPR camera firmware reveals EOL Android 8.1, a 2017 Linux kernel, and hardcoded API keys granting access to production credentials.

DDoSecrets published filesystem images from an in-use Flock ALPR camera, obtained by the hacker collective stegan0gram and investigated by 404 Media and Wired. Micah Lee's analysis shows the camera runs Android 8.1 with a security patch level of 2018-06-05 and Linux kernel 3.18.71, missing roughly eight years of Android fixes. The firmware exposes a hardcoded API key for Flock's hpnotiq backend that can retrieve Auth0 client credentials for any camera by MAC address, with credentials stored in plaintext. Likely unpatched flaws include CVE-2021-1905 (Qualcomm Adreno use-after-free) and CVE-2018-9568 (WrongZone kernel socket type confusion); Flock says it received no reports via its disclosure policy.

VU#369611: ExLlamaV3 contains Denial of Service vulnerability via insufficient bounds checking on kernel dispatch index

CERT/CC details CVE-2026-84286, an out-of-bounds memory access in ExLlamaV3's CUDA extension causing denial-of-service crashes; fixed via merged pull request.

CERT/CC published VU#369611 for CVE-2026-84286, an out-of-bounds memory access in the exllamav3_ext CUDA extension of the ExLlamaV3 LLM inference library. A crafted input with kernel parameter K set to 0 produces a negative index into a fixed 24-entry kernel dispatch array, causing a CUDA illegal memory access and denial-of-service crashes. The vendor fixed the issue in the main repository via pull request #310, and maintainers of 49 downstream projects, including ezexl3 and MawDiscord, are advised to rebuild against the patched version. The issue was reported by Nathan Keys and impact is limited to crashes and instability, not code execution.

The skb that wasn't freed - the Fragnesia primitive via Open vSwitchnew

Doyensec details CVE-2026-90049 in Open vSwitch, enabling deterministic Linux kernel local privilege escalation on default major distribution installs.

Doyensec reports that the Open vSwitch datapath strips the SKBFL_SHARED_FRAG flag from packets it is still forwarding, allowing an in-place decrypt to write attacker-chosen bytes into root-owned page cache — a Dirty COW-class primitive that re-opens the Fragnesia bug family. The issues are tracked as CVE-2026-90049, CVE-2026-89487, and CVE-2026-80977, and were reported to the kernel security team with fixes coordinated alongside OVS maintainers. A deterministic local privilege escalation works on default installs of Arch, Fedora, Debian, Amazon Linux, and RHEL where unprivileged user namespaces and openvswitch auto-loading are enabled; the fix landed in mainline and shipped in stable on 09/04/2026. The write technique builds on the earlier Fragnesia and Dirty Frag bugs, including CVE-2026-43284 and CVE-2026-43500.

VU#369093: MLflow dspy and statsmodels flavors bypass pickle deserialization control

CERT/CC warns MLflow's dspy and statsmodels flavors bypass the MLFLOW_ALLOW_PICKLE_DESERIALIZATION control, enabling remote code execution.

CERT/CC vulnerability note VU#369093 describes a flaw in MLflow 3.12.0 where the dspy flavor conditionally applies the pickle deserialization safety control based only on the model path's .pkl extension, while the statsmodels flavor skips the check entirely, permitting arbitrary code execution via malicious pickle payloads even when users disallow pickle. The statsmodels flavor is patched in versions 3.15.0 and later, but no dspy fix exists yet, so users should avoid loading models through that flavor. Exploitation requires write access to any location from which a user obtains MLflow models.

TP-Link Tapo Camera Flaw Lets Attackers Gain Admin Access Without Password

Two flaws in TP-Link Tapo C200 cameras allow network-adjacent admin access without a password (CVE-2026-15315) or DoS (CVE-2026-15316); fixed in V5_1.4.6.

OPSWAT Unit 515 researchers discovered CVE-2026-15315, an authentication bypass in the Tapo C200's local HTTPS management interface on port 443, where an alternative verification path accepts a replayed device-generated value, letting unauthenticated network-adjacent attackers establish admin sessions. CVE-2026-15316 causes a denial-of-service crash in the camera's HTTPS service via oversized encrypted Wi-Fi credential data during onboarding. TP-Link confirmed both issues after the April 16, 2026 report and released firmware V5_1.4.6 on August 18, 2026. OPSWAT says additional potentially critical findings remain under coordinated disclosure.

Telegram Desktop Flaw Lets Hidden JavaScript Exfiltrate Messages From HTML Exports

Telegram Desktop HTML export XSS (CVSS 8.2) let bot messages exfiltrate exported chats; fixed in 7.0.1 but old exports stay vulnerable.

ExPatch researchers found that Telegram Desktop versions 4.15.1 (March 2024) through 6.9.3 wrote bot inline-keyboard button text into HTML chat exports without escaping, allowing a bot to plant invisible JavaScript. When a user opened the export in a browser, the script could exfiltrate every message in that 1,000-message file, rewrite the displayed content, or fake a verification form. The flaw (rated CVSS 3.1 8.2) was fixed by commit 8457d13a in 6.9.4 beta (July 3, 2026) and 7.0.1 stable (July 14, 2026), but pre-fix exports remain dangerous since updating the app does not fix old files. No CVE identifier or Telegram security advisory exists, and no exploitation in the wild is claimed.

CVE-2026-82428: Apache Storm Client: Cross-Tenant Dependency Jar Substitution via Predictable Blob Keys

Apache Storm stores shared dependency jars under predictable Maven-derived blob keys, allowing one tenant to substitute jars other tenants execute.

CVE-2026-82428 affects Apache Storm Client (org.apache.storm:storm-client) versions 3.0.0 before 3.1.0, rated important. Dependency artifacts uploaded with storm jar --artifacts were stored under blob keys derived only from the Maven coordinate, making keys identical and predictable for every cluster user. When a blob already existed, the uploader suppressed the collision, enabling a tenant to substitute dependency jars later executed by other tenants in cross-tenant attacks. Fixed in version 3.1.0.

Skullcandy Dime 3 Bluetooth Flaw Lets Nearby Attackers Hijack Audio and Microphone

CERT/CC disclosed VU#859658: Skullcandy Dime 3 earbuds on firmware 1.0.0.28 accept unauthenticated Bluetooth pairing, letting nearby attackers hijack audio and microphone.

Skullcandy Dime 3 wireless earbuds (model S2DCW, firmware 1.0.0.28) accept Bluetooth Classic BR/EDR pairing requests from unknown devices without the owner activating pairing mode, a flaw linked to CVE-2025-20701 in Airoha Bluetooth audio SDK implementations and tracked as VU#859658 by CERT/CC. Attackers within Bluetooth range who know the device address can bond via the NoInputNoOutput configuration, establish A2DP or HFP/HSP connections, disrupt the owner's active audio session, and potentially capture live microphone audio. Firmware 1.0.0.30 addresses the issue, but Dime 3 earbuds do not support firmware updates through the Skullcandy mobile app, leaving affected users without a known upgrade path.
