Apache Airflow Akeyless provider before 0.3.1 lets DAG authors bypass team-scope guards and read other teams' secrets.

CVE-2026-86465 (moderate) affects apache-airflow-providers-akeyless before 0.3.1. The Akeyless secrets backend's team-scope guard can be bypassed with a user-controlled key: in multi-team deployments, a DAG author scoped to one team can supply a Variable key containing a path separator that resolves a secret belonging to another team.

Microsoft is investigating Windows 11 KB5124008 breaking Active Directory domain trust, leaving some users unable to log in with valid credentials.

Administrators report the Windows 11 KB5124008 security update breaks the secure channel between domain-joined machines and Active Directory, causing login failures on Windows 11 25H2 systems after reboot. The failures are linked to the Machine Identity Isolation feature, which in enforcement mode moves machine account secrets into Credential Guard and removes the LSA copy; one admin saw 11 of roughly 256 devices affected. Workarounds include setting MachineIdentityIsolation to 0 and repairing the secure channel with Test-ComputerSecureChannel, though Microsoft has confirmed no root cause or official fix and warns disabling the feature can also break domain authentication.

Two zero-days are confirmed exploited in the wild: CVE-2026-81963 (Windows Update Stack EoP) and CVE-2026-85880 (ALPC heap overflow), both letting authenticated attackers gain SYSTEM privileges. Notable criticals include an Entra ID authentication bypass (CVE-2026-62916) and multiple Windows DNS Server and Office remote code execution flaws.

VLC Media Player Flaws Let Attackers Corrupt Memory and Leak Sensitive Data

VLC 3.0.0-3.0.23 has two flaws: a heap out-of-bounds write via malicious PNGs (CVE-2026-56711) and an out-of-bounds read via hostile RealRTSP servers.

CVE-2026-56711 is a heap out-of-bounds write (CVSS v4 8.6) caused by an integer overflow in VLC's AllocatePicture routine when processing PNG images with exceptionally large IHDR width and height values, allowing writes past the allocated buffer; it maps to CWE-190 and CWE-787 and was credited to Fabian Wahle of Hap Security. CVE-2026-73324 is a medium-severity out-of-bounds read (CVSS v4 6.9) in VLC's RealRTSP handling, where RtspReadLine copies response lines longer than 4,096 bytes into a fixed buffer without null termination, potentially leaking heap data back to a hostile RTSP server via the Session header. Both bugs affect VLC 3.0.0 through 3.0.23, and updated builds had not yet been released at the time of disclosure.

The release includes fixes for two zero-days that were exploited in the wild, with CVE-2026-81963 and CVE-2026-85880 highlighted in the release. Affected products span Windows core components, Office, Exchange, .NET, Visual Studio, Active Directory services (including AD CS and AD FS) and numerous Azure services. Tenable notes the release surpasses July's as the biggest ever.
