The headline flaw is CVE-2026-87491, a Medium-severity out-of-bounds write in the V8 JavaScript and WebAssembly engine that Google confirmed is exploited in the wild; it was reported by Jihyeon Jeong of Compsec Lab at Seoul National University for a $2,500 bounty.
