Apache disclosed a critical eval injection vulnerability (CVE-2026-80351) in Apache Camel K, where improperly neutralized directives in dynamically evaluated Maven configuration let tenant-controlled repository content reach Maven execution inside the operator pod. This can allow tenant-controlled content to influence code execution in the operator context. Affected versions are 2.0.0 before 2.9.3 and 2.10.1 before 2.10.2; fixes are available in 2.9.3 and 2.10.2.

New cPanel Flaw Lets a Hosting Account With Mail Privileges Run Code as Root
cPanel patched CVE-2026-67401, an SQL injection in EmailTrack letting an account with mail privileges run code as root on the server.
cPanel released an advisory on September 8 for CVE-2026-67401, an SQL injection in EmailTrack that allows an authenticated account holder with mail-related privileges to create files and execute code as root. All supported cPanel and WHM release lines (11.110, 11.134, 11.136, 11.138 and WP Squared 11.138.1.9) are affected, with fixed builds published for each. No public exploit or exploitation has been reported and the flaw is not yet in CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. The advisory carries no CVSS score, and the CVE record had not been published as of September 9.

FreeIPA Flaw Chain Lets Anonymous Clients Create Reusable Administrator Credentials
Critical FreeIPA flaw chain (CVE-2026-76578, CVSS 9.8) lets anonymous clients create reusable admin credentials on default installs; fixed in 4.13.4.
Red Hat warns that chaining FreeIPA's CVE-2026-76578 (CVSS 9.8) with a 389 Directory Server flaw (CVE-2026-76560, CVSS 7.5) lets an anonymous client write a Kerberos identity into the directory and land in the administrators group on default installations; Red Hat reproduced the chain twice, including on a machine with no access at all. FreeIPA 4.13.4 fixes both flaws, and fourteen 389-ds advisories shipped September 8, with RHSA-2026:64785 rated critical. A separate flaw, CVE-2026-79678 (CVSS 8.1), allows reading the server's environment variables one at a time via a Python eval() in idp-add, potentially exposing Directory Manager and administrator passwords in container installs. No real-world exploitation has been reported.
