Adobe security advisory (AV26-808) – Update 1

Canada's Cyber Centre updated Adobe advisory AV26-808 to flag that CVE-2026-71362 in Adobe Commerce is being exploited in the wild.

The Canadian Centre for Cyber Security advisory AV26-808 (Update 1) lists vulnerabilities affecting Adobe products including Campaign Classic, Adobe Commerce, Magento Open Source, ColdFusion 2023/2025, Lightroom Classic, and Content Credentials SDKs. Update 1 notes that open-source reporting indicates CVE-2026-71362 is being exploited in the wild. Users and administrators are urged to review the referenced links and apply updates, including those in Adobe bulletin APSB26-92 for Adobe Commerce.

Artifactory Under Attack: In-the-Wild Exploitation of CVE-2026-42016, CVE-2026-42018 & CVE-2026-82329

Wiz Research confirms in-the-wild exploitation of three JFrog Artifactory vulnerabilities, chained to gain administrative control, deploy Groovy plugins, and install Rust backdoors.

Wiz Research identified active exploitation of CVE-2026-42016, CVE-2026-42018, and CVE-2026-82329 in JFrog Artifactory between August 15 and September 8, 2026. Attackers chain the anonymous-token exposure (CVE-2026-42018) with the token scope-validation flaw (CVE-2026-42016) to obtain admin-scoped tokens, while CVE-2026-82329 allows unauthenticated administrative access in default configurations. Observed post-exploitation includes persistent administrator accounts created in under five minutes, malicious Groovy plugin deployment, ad-hoc command execution, Rust-based C2 backdoors dropped to writable paths, and webshell uploads. Wiz measured that 59-62% of organizations running Artifactory remained vulnerable to the chained CVEs weeks after disclosure, and the vulnerabilities were already included in CISA KEV.

OpenAI details the evolution of Habitat, its online storage platform backing ChatGPT and other products, which began in mid-2024 as a Python client-side library over Azure Cosmos DB. Habitat now processes more than 70 million requests per second, serves over 500 petabytes of data across nearly 40 geographic regions, and supports over 1 billion users weekly. By mid-2025 the client library approach became brittle, so OpenAI moved Habitat into a standalone service to centralize deployments, observability, and multi-tenancy reliability.
