NVIDIA Open-Sources OSMO: One YAML Orchestrates Physical AI Training, Simulation, and Robot Testing

NVIDIA open-sourced OSMO, a Kubernetes-native YAML orchestrator running physical-AI training, simulation, and robot testing across mixed GPU tiers.

OSMO (Apache-2.0, latest release 6.3.1) lets teams describe training, simulation, and hardware-in-the-loop pipelines in a single YAML and routes tasks across datacenter GPUs (GB200), workstation RTX hardware, and edge devices like Jetson AGX Thor. It ships Helm charts and containers on NGC, uses the KAI Scheduler with NVLink topology-aware placement, and includes RBAC, OAuth2, and TLS termination. NVIDIA says it is battle-tested on GR00T, Isaac Lab, Isaac Sim, and Isaac ROS, and integrates with Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and Cursor agents.

Virtual Event Today: Attack Surface Management Summit

SecurityWeek's 2026 Attack Surface Management Summit runs today as a virtual event covering asset discovery, SBOMs, red teaming, and pen-testing.

SecurityWeek is hosting its fully virtual 2026 Attack Surface Management Summit from 11AM-3PM, focused on continuous asset discovery, prioritization, and risk reduction. Sessions cover proving exploitability, SBOM and AIBOM software supply chain risk with Dr. Allan Friedman, demos from Wiz and Horizon3's NodeZero, and the roles of red teaming, bug bounty, and penetration testing in enterprise defense.

From Megawatts to Tokens: How NVIDIA Maximizes AI Factory Production

NVIDIA detailed DSX power-management results: Lambda gained 24% token throughput at fixed power, and an AI factory auto-shed 1MW via Emerald AI's grid program.

NVIDIA says Lambda's first validation of DSX MaxLPS on HGX B200 servers ran 19 nodes within a 16-node power budget, lifting cluster token throughput 24% (roughly 4M to 5M tokens/second) and improving performance per watt by 23%. NVIDIA projects DSX MaxLPS can enable up to 40% more GPU capacity for Vera Rubin NVL72 factories within the same megawatt budget. Emerald AI's Conductor platform, running at NVIDIA's Eos factory with Silicon Valley Power, responded to over 200 utility demand signals, automatically dropping power from 4MW to 3MW without interrupting priority workloads. The first dedicated DSX Flex commercial deployment is planned at a 96-megawatt Manassas, Virginia facility.

When the World Lies: Backdoor Attacks on Latent World Models for Downstream Control

A poisoned world-model checkpoint hijacks downstream controllers without an explicit trigger rule, passing clean-data evaluation while steering 100% of triggered actions.

Researchers show that a released pretrained world-model checkpoint acts as a supply-chain backdoor for downstream control. The poisoned model routes trigger-bearing observations into a chosen latent region and reshapes dynamics so the victim's own Dreamer-style actor training or MPC/CEM planning re-discovers attacker-targeted actions. The attack hijacks 100% of triggered steps in the strongest settings while retaining roughly 75% clean-task success and passing standard clean-data diagnostics. Moderate clean fine-tuning fails to remove the backdoor without substantially degrading clean control.

The Fraud Ecosystem: A Transition From Known Marketplaces to a Fragmented Environment

Rapid7 analyzes how fraud marketplaces are fragmenting into specialized shops after larger marketplaces were dismantled, aided by new MITRE F3 framework

Rapid7 reports a shift from large known fraud marketplaces to a fragmented environment of smaller specialized storefronts such as Xleet, Blackpass, Infodig, and Styx, operating across dark web channels, Telegram, and P2P options. These Fraud-as-a-Service shops sell stolen accounts, PII, synthetic identity generation, infrastructure, and money laundering support, supporting schemes like business email compromise. MITRE's Fraud Fighting Framework (F3), introduced in early 2026, aims to help security teams prioritize monitoring of fraud TTPs, particularly account takeover techniques. Fraud damages are anticipated to approach hundreds of billions of USD.

ThreatsDay: 200 Android Flaws, Browser-Built Phishing, 119K Scam Shops + 23 More Stories

Hacker News ThreatsDay digest: malicious browser extensions, AI-agent intrusions, NCSC shadow AI warning, M&A wire fraud, and 119,000-domain fake shops.

Socket found four malicious Chrome and Firefox extensions (J7Tracker, VREO, Orbit Tracker) stealing session tokens and wallet data from Axiom Trade and Padre users via attacker-controlled Vercel deployments. Hunt.io reported a Chinese-speaking operator using Claude Code, Alibaba Qwen, and DeepSeek with the SecFlow orchestration framework to automate intrusions against government and financial targets in Afghanistan, Thailand, Taiwan, and the US. The UK NCSC warned shadow AI use risks breaches and regulatory failure, Microsoft announced privacy-preserving Windows Age APIs, and Gen Digital described fake M&A wire-fraud scams. A 119,000-domain fake-shop operation called DoppelCart was also highlighted.

Skild AI Taps NVIDIA Physical AI to Teach Robots New Tasks From a Single Video

Skild AI launched its S1 robot foundation model, built on NVIDIA infrastructure, that learns long-horizon industrial tasks from a single video.

Skild AI's S1 model uses in-context learning from one video demonstration to execute unfamiliar multistep tasks lasting up to 10 minutes without weight updates or task-specific post-training. In tests on new tasks it achieved about 66% per-step success versus 9% for a comparable AI system, and one video demonstration was estimated to match roughly 380 hands-on training examples. The company reached a $100 million annual revenue run rate with more than 60 deployment partnerships, and with NVIDIA and Foxconn deploys the Skild Brain on dual-arm manipulators assembling NVIDIA Blackwell systems. Training and validation rely on NVIDIA Isaac Lab, Isaac Sim, Omniverse, Cosmos and the Newton physics engine.
