NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 Delivers Leading Performance in MLPerf Inference v6.1 Debut

NVIDIA's Vera Rubin NVL72 debuts in MLPerf Inference v6.1 with up to 3.7x higher throughput than GB300 NVL72 and 99% scaling efficiency at 288 GPUs.

In its first MLPerf Inference preview submission, NVIDIA's Vera Rubin NVL72 achieved up to 3.7x higher throughput than GB300 NVL72 on Qwen3-VL and 2.5x on DeepSeek-R1. A 288-GPU GB300 NVL72 submission across four racks reached 99% scaling efficiency on the DeepSeek-R1 offline benchmark. Software optimizations delivered up to 1.6x gains over v6.0, leveraging TensorRT-LLM, vLLM, Dynamo, disaggregated serving, and NVFP4 precision.

Top 10 Best SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM) Tools in 2026

Scorecard ranks 2026 SSPM platforms with AppOmni and Obsidian Security leading after CrowdStrike folded Adaptive Shield into its Falcon platform.

The editorial scorecard rates ten SaaS security posture management tools on app coverage (30%), misconfiguration depth, SaaS identity/OAuth risk, shadow-SaaS discovery, and value. AppOmni scores 9.0 for unmatched app coverage across enterprise SaaS suites, and Obsidian Security scores 8.9 for SaaS identity threat detection and ITDR workflows. CrowdStrike now delivers Adaptive Shield's SSPM natively within Falcon, and Zscaler's Canonic Security acquisition signals continued platform consolidation.

Top 10 Best Multi-Cloud Security Platforms in 2026

An editorial roundup of the ten best multi-cloud security platforms for 2026, split between CNAPPs (Wiz, Prisma Cloud) and cloud-networking security (Aviatrix).

The article frames multi-cloud security as two markets: CNAPP platforms (Wiz, Prisma Cloud, CrowdStrike, Orca, Defender) securing what runs in clouds, and cloud-networking-security platforms (Aviatrix) securing how clouds connect. It ranks ten platforms including Palo Alto Prisma Cloud for breadth, Wiz for correlation, Check Point CloudGuard, Fortinet, Aviatrix, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Trend Micro, and CrowdStrike. It flags the ~$32 billion Google–Wiz acquisition as raising cloud-neutrality questions buyers should address contractually.

Nums AI Releases Causilo: A Tabular Foundation Model That Tops TabArena Among Single Models

Nums AI released Causilo, an Apache-2.0 tabular foundation model achieving the highest single-model Elo (1794) on TabArena for classification and regression.

Nums AI released Causilo 1.0.1, a pretrained in-context learning tabular foundation model for classification (up to 10 classes) and regression, with Apache-2.0 code and research-only weights on Hugging Face. It achieved the highest single-model TabArena Elo of 1792.9 overall, beating TabFM (1764.4) and EXAONE Tabular (1758.8), and a maintainer re-run placed it 3rd of 88 including system entries. It also ranked first by CRPS, R² and RMSE on ScoringBench across 101 datasets, and was fastest on fit and predict versus TabICLv2 and TabPFN-3 on an H100 GPU at 8.15 GiB memory. The model was pretrained only on synthetic data, uses cross-attention to keep cost linear in feature count, and version 1.0.1 adds quantile outputs via 999 native quantiles.

The vulnpocalypse rains iBugs down on Apple with record-setting number of patches

Apple's record patch cycle fixes 260+ CVEs across iOS 27 and macOS 27, including CUPS remote code execution, with no active exploitation reported.

Apple patched more than 260 CVEs across its operating systems and software, its largest single patch cycle ever, with iOS 27 fixing 122 flaws and macOS 27 Golden Gate fixing 204. Notable bugs include CVE-2026-43692, a CUPS validation issue allowing remote code execution, and CVE-2026-43689, an iOS privilege-escalation flaw granting root access. Ten CVEs were credited to AI-assisted bug hunting, including CVE-2026-65410 and CVE-2026-65409 found by Calif with Claude and Anthropic Research. None of the vulnerabilities are listed as actively exploited.

Can Skills Learned in Games Transfer to Real-World Work?

Good Start Labs trains models in strategy games like 1830 and Diplomacy, showing terminal-agent training transfers to financial research benchmarks.

Good Start Labs, spun out of Every with $3.6M from General Catalyst and Inovia, trains AI models in verifiable strategy games. A 30B model trained as a multi-turn terminal agent in 1830: The Game of Railroads and Robber Barons improved Finance-Agent benchmark performance, while single-turn QA training did not transfer. The founders also co-authored COS-PLAY, a paper on co-evolving LLM decision and skill-bank agents for long-horizon tasks.
