Data Broker Radaris Loses Domains in Privacy Fight

A New Jersey court ordered people-search broker Radaris to transfer radaris.com and a dozen related domains to Atlas Data Privacy over Daniel's Law violations.

On August 26, a New Jersey judge found Radaris failed to defend claims that it violated Daniel's Law, which protects law enforcement officials' personal data and imposes $1,000 fines per ignored removal request. The court ordered radaris.com and more than a dozen related broker domains transferred to plaintiff Atlas Data Privacy Corp. Radaris had delayed litigation using offshore shell entities and previously used a fictitious CEO named 'Gary Norden' in investor-facing press releases.

Google introduced new interactive, open-access data visualizations for its AI & Economy ATLAS project tracking global AI adoption patterns. Research from Google, Google DeepMind, and MIT FutureTech analyzed 2,600 specialized AI models and surveyed over 600 U.S. and U.K. scientists, finding nearly half use AI daily and report saving almost seven hours per week. The study also found validation bottlenecks and a growing backlog of untested hypotheses limiting research productivity gains.

UltraViolet Cyber announced Equinox, a detection engineering platform from its TIDE team that maps existing detections and log sources against MITRE ATT&CK and MITRE ATLAS. It performs coverage analysis in under 30 minutes and recommends vendor or custom detections to fill gaps, with engineers reviewing and backtesting each recommendation. In one customer trial, mapped technique coverage rose from 59 of 222 techniques (26.6%) to 136 of 222 (61.3%) without increasing alert volume.
