Forgery of C2PA on a Pixel 10

Researcher forged a Google Pixel 10 C2PA content credential with genuine signatures, showing root-level attackers can fake photo provenance.

A Hacker Factor blog post demonstrates an AI-generated 'unicorn glitter milk' news photo carrying a valid, cryptographically signed C2PA manifest traceable to Google's Pixel camera certificate chain, passing validation in Adobe Inspect and the CAI Verify tool with a verified timestamp. The author, working with UMBC's PASAWG working group, reported to Google and C2PA in November 2025 that root access on a Pixel device could sign arbitrary images as camera captures; after 90 days without resolution, details were published. The finding undermines C2PA Assurance Level 2 claims made for Pixel 10 Content Credentials.

Flextype v1.0.0-alpha.3 Stored Fetch Shortcode Allows Server-Side Request Forgery

Flextype CMS v1.0.0-alpha.3's stored fetch shortcode enables server-side request forgery via attacker-controlled entry fields passed to fetch().

Flextype CMS v1.0.0-alpha.3 automatically processes attacker-controlled entry fields through its shortcode parser when global shortcode processing is enabled. The built-in fetch shortcode passes attacker-controlled resources to the server-side fetch() helper without sufficient destination restrictions. This enables stored server-side request forgery initiated from saved entry content. The issue was disclosed on the Full Disclosure mailing list on September 3, 2026.

ZDI-26-588: Fabric.js loadFromJSON Server-Side Request Forgery Vulnerability

ZDI disclosed a server-side request forgery in Fabric.js loadFromJSON (CVE-2026-19504) that can leak sensitive information from affected implementations.

Zero Day Initiative advisory ZDI-26-588 describes a server-side request forgery vulnerability in the Fabric.js canvas library's loadFromJSON function. Exploitation requires interaction with the library and attack vectors vary by implementation, potentially exposing sensitive information. The issue is rated 4.0 on the CVSS scale and tracked as CVE-2026-19504. The advisory does not report exploitation in the wild.

CVE-2026-87802: Apache Syncope: SRA OAuth2 JWT signature verification bypass

Low-severity CVE-2026-87802 in Apache Syncope SRA allows JWT signature forgery in OAuth 2.0 setups without JWKS URI.

CVE-2026-87802 is a low-severity improper cryptographic signature verification flaw in Apache Syncope SRA affecting versions 3.0.0-M0 through 3.0.16, 4.0.0-M0 through 4.0.7, and 4.1.0-M0 through 4.1.2. When SRA is configured for OAuth 2.0 without a JWKS set URI assigned, an attacker can forge tokens, bypassing JWT signature verification.

Next.js 16.4.0-canary.13 Image Optimizer DNS Rebinding TOCTOU SSRF Still Exists

Next.js 16.4.0-canary.13 Image Optimizer retains a DNS rebinding TOCTOU SSRF in fetchExternalImage() allowing requests to private network resources.

Next.js 16.4.0-canary.13 contains a DNS rebinding time-of-check-to-time-of-use Server-Side Request Forgery vulnerability in the Image Optimizer's fetchExternalImage() function. The code resolves the supplied hostname and checks the resulting addresses with isPrivateIp(), but a TOCTOU gap between resolution and the actual fetch allows an attacker-controlled DNS record to change and reach private network resources.
