Linux Foundation takes on TRACE, a hardware-backed runtime evidence specification for AI agents
The Linux Foundation adopts TRACE, an OPAQUE-contributed spec giving AI agents hardware-attested, cryptographically verifiable runtime and compliance evidence.
The Linux Foundation accepted the TRACE (Trust, Runtime Attestation and Compliance Evidence) specification contributed by OPAQUE, developed with AMD, Intel, Microsoft, and the Technology Innovation Institute. TRACE binds runtime environment, software, policies, data classifications, and tool usage into a portable, cryptographically verifiable artifact, composing existing standards such as RATS, EAT, SLSA, SCITT, SPIFFE, and EAR. It recorded nearly 135,000 PyPI downloads within 10 weeks of its June 2026 introduction, and its technical workstream will be hosted by the Coalition for Secure AI.

Nvidia and Palantir announced a partnership to run supply chains with AI, first deployed on Nvidia's own network of millions of parts and thousands of suppliers; a single Vera Rubin rack contains 1.3 million components. Palantir is integrating open Nemotron models into its Foundry platform for customer fine-tuning, while Nvidia cuOpt handles scenario planning and optimization, with decisions fed back to improve models over time. The stack runs on customer hardware or in the cloud through the Sovereign AI OS reference architecture with infrastructure partners Dell, Cisco, Rackspace, and Nebius, with more details shown at AIPCon 11.

Crusoe reportedly raises $3B at a $30B valuation
AI data center developer Crusoe raised $3 billion at a $30 billion valuation, plus a $13 billion five-year GPU contract with Jane Street.
Crusoe, which builds hyperscale data centers for customers including Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI, and Oracle, raised a $3 billion round at a $30 billion valuation, Bloomberg reported. The round was co-led by Atreides Management and Valor Equity Partners with participation from Mubadala Capital. It comes 10 months after a $1.38 billion raise at a $10 billion valuation and follows a $13 billion, five-year cloud contract supplying GPUs and AI infrastructure to trading firm Jane Street. The company has met with Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley about a potential near-term IPO.
