AI-designed drug appears to turn back the body's biological clock in early trial

Insilico Medicine's AI-designed drug rentosertib showed reduced predicted biological age in IPF trial blood analysis, published in Nature Biotechnology.

Insilico Medicine reported that rentosertib, an AI-designed drug candidate in Phase III trials for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, showed reduced predicted biological age in blood protein analysis of 42 trial patients. Six independent aging-clock models built by teams at Harvard, Oxford, Beijing, and Insilico all predicted lower biological age versus placebo, with drops of three to four years by week 4 and up to six years on one clock. The drug targets TNIK and was developed with two generative AI systems in about 18 months; Eli Lilly recently invested in the company. Experts including Eric Topol and Harvard's Vadim Gladyshev called the results encouraging but not definitive, citing small sample size.

Phishing 3.0: The Fight Moves to Agent Versus Agent

Agentic AI transforms phishing economics, enabling personalized multi-channel attacks with deepfakes like the $25M Arup deepfake heist.

The article argues phishing has evolved through three stages: from malicious content, to intent-based BEC, to AI-powered multi-channel campaigns where attacker agents autonomously conduct reconnaissance and generate tailored lures. The widely reported Arup case saw a deepfake video call impersonating colleagues convince an employee to approve transfers worth roughly $25 million. An Osterman Research study of 128 security leaders found 88% experienced trust-undermining incidents, while Microsoft 365 EOP and Google Workspace were measured missing hundreds of phishing messages per 100 mailboxes monthly. The author argues defenders must adopt their own agents to match attacker speed.

DataGrout helps enterprises control AI usage, governance and LLM costs

SelectHub launched DataGrout, an LLM cost and governance platform combining dynamic context pruning, symbolic inference and MCP gating, claiming about 60% token reduction.

SelectHub launched DataGrout, an LLM inference optimization and AI governance platform combining dynamic context pruning, a symbolic inference layer, and an MCP gateway with per-call token and cost monitoring. Early tests claim roughly 60% token reduction on data-intensive ERP and CRM integration tasks without accuracy loss. The platform connects via its Conduit SDK, MCP or JSON-RPC, offers its own MCP servers for SaaS apps such as Salesforce, SAP and ServiceNow, and supports bring-your-own-key LLM access or gateways like Amazon Bedrock and Kong.
