A student and FOSS app maintainer reviewed 102 apps pushed to F-Droid on September 12, 2026, assigning each a three-tier rating for likelihood of LLM-authored code (mostly AI >50%, hard to say/mostly human, no signs of AI). The heuristic relies on commit aesthetics, README and branding style, and the presence of agentic infrastructure like Claude Code or Codex, which automatically places an app in the 'mostly AI' tier. Example ratings include Amber (Nostr event signer) as mostly AI, and Aria for Misskey as showing no AI signs. The author stresses reliable detection of LLM-generated code from text alone is impossible, so ratings are approximate.

Amazon launches Alexa+ in India with Hindi support

Apple says no raw audio is stored or accessible to the operating system, apps, the user, or Apple, and untransferred audio is automatically deleted.

Each user gets a dedicated Muse Secure VM where the agent runs in a systemd-nspawn cell, while a separate Sentinel agent approves every network request at layer 4/7 and injects real credentials only at the network boundary. The underlying Muse Spark 1.3 model, which Meta says cuts tool calls by ~20% and tokens by ~25% versus 1.2 and is near state-of-the-art on prompt-injection resistance, is available via Meta Model API, with open weights on the roadmap.

UK account-hack losses surge as new reporting system exposes hidden cases

UK reported account-hack losses rose 417% to £6.3M in 2025-26, largely because the new Report Fraud system is capturing previously hidden cases.

The City of London Police's first annual assessment reported £6.3 million in losses from hacked accounts in the year ending March 31, up from £1.2 million, with victims rising from 226 to 2,325. The surge coincides with the January launch of Report Fraud, which replaced Action Fraud; 92% of account-hack reports with financial loss were recorded in the second half of the year. Cyber-dependent crime reports rose 34% to 64,608 while ransomware reports fell 25% to 323, which police warn may reflect underreporting.
