ConvMem: Convolutional Memory for Long-Context Reasoning

Researchers propose ConvMem, a training-free framework treating LLMs as convolutional kernels for parallelizable long-context reasoning beyond fixed context windows.

ConvMem reformulates long-context reasoning as a hierarchical convolution in which the LLM summarizes text segments hierarchically, shortening the reasoning path from a linear chain to a logarithmic tree. It uses configurable strides, skip connections, and multi-kernel convolution to capture evidence, decompose queries, and enable massive parallelization across segments and reasoning threads. On RULER-HotpotQA and RULER-2WikiMultiHopQA it outperforms training-free baselines and avoids the out-of-distribution overfitting seen in RL-trained approaches like MemAgent.

TRACE: Trajectory-robust Admission with Evidence Ordering for Efficient GUI Agents

TRACE, a training-free visual token pruning framework, cuts GUI agent inference latency and memory while keeping trajectory-wide visual evidence reusable.

TRACE is a training-free framework for trajectory-robust admission and coverage-aware evidence ordering that prunes high-resolution screenshot tokens accumulated in GUI agent trajectories. It ranks visual evidence using a query-independent layout-derived interaction prior combined with instruction relevance and feature novelty, and reserves part of the budget for native tokens distributed across the screen to repair spatial coverage. A monotone KV contraction incrementally compresses retired frames into compact session state, avoiding repeated visual encoding or pruning. Experiments across six GUI benchmarks and diverse models verify effectiveness under tight budgets, with source code to be released.

World in World: Explore the World with World Models

World in World is a training-free inference-time interface enabling camera-controlled rerendering, long-horizon revisiting, and motion transfer with frozen causal video world models.

The framework converts heterogeneous control evidence into camera- and time-labelled clean visual states that are read through the native self-attention of a frozen causal video model. Evidence includes source-video observations, target-view scene projections, geometry renderings for completing newly exposed regions, and retrieved generated states beyond the rolling cache. A correspondence router combines persistent point identities with geometry for token correspondences, while evidence-wise attention CFG independently regulates each auxiliary channel. The shared interface supports camera-controlled rerendering, long-horizon revisiting, and human-motion transfer without additional training.

TrajMark: Ownership Attribution and Segment-Level Tamper Localization for Coding-Agent Trajectories

Researchers introduce TrajMark, a training-free watermarking framework for coding-agent trajectories that recovers ownership, detects 95.5-100% of edits, and localizes tampered regions.

TrajMark is a training-free, symmetric-key, visible-only watermarking framework for coding-agent trajectories that separates robust ownership attribution from fragile local integrity verification. A sparse owner layer encodes a six-bit deployment identifier by rewriting keyed READ actions into masked linear equations, while a localization layer inserts linked Q12 seals that commit to protected critical-action segments. Across three coding-agent frameworks and three LLMs, it recovers the exact owner in all clean full-watermark batches, detects 95.5%-100% of single-site edits, and localizes 95.8% of random corruptions to an accepted protocol region. Owner marking adds no trajectory actions and matched Pass@1 is 26.9% versus 26.3% for unwatermarked runs.

Think Before You Link: Rarity, Reasoning, and Retrieval in Multilingual Entity Linking

Training-free reasoning-plus-retrieval framework lifts multilingual multimodal entity linking accuracy by 6.9% overall and up to 23.3% on rare entities.

The paper broadens rarity measurement in multimodal entity linking using knowledge-graph structural metrics beyond popularity-based pageview metrics, identifying many rare entities that popularity metrics miss. Across these rare-entity slices, state-of-the-art accuracy drops by 15.4-39.9%, exposing distinct failure modes under different rarity definitions. The proposed training-free framework iteratively searches and reasons over Wikipedia with a reasoning-capable vision-language model; experiments show reasoning and retrieval are complementary. On the MERLIN benchmark covering Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Tamil, and Vietnamese, the system improves overall accuracy by 6.9% and up to 23.3% on rare entities, with MERLIN-Rare test slices released.

CoVeR: Coverage-Based Token Pruning for Multi-View 3D Reasoning in VLMs

CoVeR, a training-free coverage-based token pruner, preserves 93.5% of VLM 3D-reasoning performance using only about 8% of visual tokens.

Researchers introduce CoVeR, a deterministic, training-free selector that chooses visual tokens to cover every region of a multi-view 3D scene using only token coordinates. Unlike learned-importance and voxelization pruners, it enforces an exact per-scene token budget, avoids saturation plateaus, and prevents near-duplicate selections. Experiments across four vision-language models show it surpasses prior state of the art by 3.9 percentage points on average across three 3D reasoning benchmarks.

BeaconKV: Key-Value Cache Compression Guided by Beacon Queries for Efficient Large Reasoning Model Inference

BeaconKV introduces training-free KV cache compression using beacon queries, cutting long-reasoning inference memory up to 5.8x while preserving accuracy.

The paper shows recency-based KV cache compression assumptions fail in long-horizon reasoning because Thought Revisiting Tokens (TRT) re-attend to distant context such as early task-solving plans. TRT queries cluster into a small number of similarity groups, which BeaconKV exploits by maintaining compact beacon query representatives to anticipate revisited KV pairs without storing full query history. The training-free method achieves up to 5.8x memory reduction and over 4.3x throughput improvement across four open-source large reasoning models while nearly preserving full cache accuracy.

Generative Late-Interaction Embeddings For Visual Document Retrieval

GLIE compresses visual document retrieval embeddings to four vectors per page while retaining nearly 80% of uncompressed nDCG@5 accuracy.

Researchers analyzing late-interaction retrieval embeddings found they lie exactly on the unit sphere and concentrate near a manifold of intrinsic dimension five to six. GLIE learns a few k vectors per page that serve as a lightweight index and a basis to regenerate the full embedding set for exact rescoring of top candidates at query time. On ViDoRe v1 with four vectors per page, GLIE retains nearly 80% of uncompressed nDCG@5 versus 70% for the best prior post-hoc method, using a 415K-parameter network trained in under three GPU-minutes on 1,000 pages.

Distributed and Private Textual Data Synthesis from Embeddings

Researchers propose a distributed differentially private text synthesis method combining DP summaries and secure protocols, removing the need for a trusted curator.

The paper presents a differential privacy and cryptography co-design for synthesizing textual training data without a trusted curator or tightly synchronized user participation. It releases a one-time DP summary in embedding space, identifying frequent semantic regions and their DP centroids to enable training-free offline text synthesis, with semantic support protection to avoid exposing rare user texts. A custom secure protocol enforces end-to-end DP guarantees over distributed user data. Across four benchmarks the approach achieves utility comparable to the state-of-the-art centralized DP synthesis method.
