Alongside the Audio Intelligence features announced at its iPhone event, Apple released a privacy document stating that microphone audio on Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 is processed in the Secure Exclave of the S11 chip, never saved as a file, and inaccessible to watchOS, apps, the user, or Apple. Live Rewind transcribes the last 15 seconds of a conversation after a deliberate Digital Crown double-press, routing audio to a nearby iPhone before it is discarded; Siri Recap produces daily AI summaries without retaining raw audio or attributing speakers.
