A race condition in macOS can let an app modify protected parts of the file system. A local app triggers it; no remote or unauthenticated path is described. Apple fixed it with additional validation in macOS Golden Gate 27.2, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, and macOS Tahoe 26.7.2. Earlier builds of those releases are the systems at risk.

What to do: Update to macOS Golden Gate 27.2, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, or macOS Tahoe 26.7.2.
