Victims are lured via personalized phishing, smishing, or vishing into sideloading an app; SpyNote's Accessibility access silently installs WindRelay, whose reader component captures live EMV APDU card data over NFC and relays it via WebSocket C2 to an emulator component at a payment terminal. The scheme enables dual monetization: RAT-driven remote access to take out digital loans and NFC relay for physical card-present cashouts, known as Ghost Tap. Twenty-three WindRelay samples uploaded to VirusTotal between November 2025 and July 2026 impersonate financial institutions in Czechia, Slovakia, and Slovenia, with the technique also spreading to Brazil and Poland.

Use-After-Free Local Privilege Escalation in Microsoft Windows WinSock AFD Driver

Argument-Injection Flaw in MikroTik RouterOS SSH Login Enables Privilege Escalation
CVE-2026-86060 is an argument-injection flaw (CWE-88) in MikroTik RouterOS's SSH login path: when a login supplies a username beginning with a prohibited character, the RouterOS login helper mishandles the argument, allowing the trusted RouterOS policy mask to be changed and privileges to be escalated. Windows SmartScreen Bypass (CVE-2023-36025) Exploited via Crafted Shortcut Files
CVE-2023-36025 is a security feature bypass in Windows SmartScreen in which a specially crafted file — exploited in the wild using Internet Shortcut (.url) files — evades the Mark-of-the-Web warning SmartScreen normally displays for content downloaded from the internet.
