OpenAI is bringing a GPT-6 model with Intelligent UI to more than 1.2 billion weekly ChatGPT users, after introducing GPT-6 for paid customers last month. Intelligent UI composes text with graphics, buttons, forms, charts, and in-conversation tools using a streamable component library and compiler. OpenAI says GPT-6 can answer while it continues reasoning; GPT-6 Instant starts web-search answers 44% sooner than GPT-5.6 Instant, and GPT-6 Extra High matches GPT-5.6 Medium’s time to first answer while outscoring GPT-5.6 Extra High. Safety updates, building on Astra, strengthen resistance to multi-turn bypasses and high-risk cyber, biological, and violent misuse.
