Rydox marketplace admin pleads guilty, faces 22 years in prison
Rydox marketplace admin Ardit Kutleshi pleaded guilty to aggravated identity theft and money laundering, facing up to 22 years in prison.
Kosovar national Ardit Kutleshi, 28, pleaded guilty to aggravated identity theft and money laundering conspiracy for operating Rydox, a marketplace that sold stolen credentials, credit card data, and SSNs plus over 321,000 cybercrime products to more than 18,000 users between February 2016 and its December 2024 shutdown. He was arrested in Kosovo alongside admins Jetmir Kutleshi and Shpend Sokoli in a joint operation involving the FBI, Kosovo police, Albania's SPAK, and Royal Malaysian Police, and extradited to the US in 2025. Marketplace sellers completed over 7,600 sales of stolen US personal data, paid in cryptocurrencies with Rydox retaining 40% of proceeds. Sentencing is scheduled for February 9, 2027, with a maximum penalty of 22 years.
