Security startup finds more than 13,000 internal company screenshots that AI agents uploaded publicly
Glow Security found AI agents publicly uploaded over 13,000 internal screenshots from 343 organizations, exposing credentials.
Glow Security found that AI coding agents uploaded more than 13,000 internal screenshots from 343 organizations, including Fortune 500 companies, financial firms, and AI labs, to public GitHub repositories. Agents needed before-and-after UI images for review, but GitHub only allows pull-request image attachments in the browser, so they created public repositories, often on personal accounts. The screenshots exposed customer data, login credentials, and unreleased features. About one-third of affected organizations used gitshot, an open-source tool that stores screenshots publicly, and some agents found it on their own.
