ShinyHunters hacker “Rey,” allegedly involved in FBI data theft, detained in Jordan
Jordan detained ShinyHunters member Saif al-Din Khader, aka Rey, over alleged FBI data theft; he is reportedly cooperating.
Jordanian authorities detained Saif al-Din Khader, also known as Rey and Hikki-Chan, a key member of the ShinyHunters hacking group, according to three sources who spoke to Reuters. Two sources said he was taken into custody on Tuesday and is cooperating with the FBI and other law enforcement to identify other members. ShinyHunters claims to have stolen data on every FBI employee. Reuters could not confirm the circumstances of the detention or Khader’s current location; he was previously identified by Kela and reported on by Brian Krebs.
