Ex-Ramp engineers raise $20M for platform Melius after scrapping their first product
Ex-Ramp engineers raised a $20 million Series A for Melius, an AI ad-creative platform.
Melius, a New York startup founded by former Ramp engineers Joowon Kim, Young Kim, and Arnav Ramu, said it raised $25 million, including a $20 million Series A led by CRV and a $5 million seed led by General Catalyst. The founders discarded an earlier AI performance-marketing product and rebuilt an “agents lab” that generates ad campaigns, images, and videos. Melius claims more than $1 million in annualized revenue within two months of leaving stealth in July. Competitors cited include Higgsfield, valued at $5.4 billion with over $700 million in annualized revenue, plus Krea and Flora AI.
