Restate lands $20M as the need for durable infrastructure increases with AI agents
Berlin-based Restate raised $20 million to expand durable execution infrastructure for AI agent workflows.
Berlin-based Restate raised a $20 million Series A led by Singular, with participation from Redpoint Ventures and Capital One Ventures. Founded in 2022 by Stephen Ewan and former Data Artisans colleagues, the company built its own storage and replication layers for durable multi-step workflows that can resume after crashes. Ewan said demand from AI agent workloads has driven recent six- and seven-figure contracts, including with Replit and Fortune 500 customers. Rival Temporal recently raised a $550 million Series E at a $12.55 billion valuation.
