AI Search is now generally available
Cloudflare AI Search is generally available with native image embeddings, PDF OCR, and billing from November 1, 2026.
Cloudflare made AI Search generally available as a managed indexing and retrieval pipeline built on Workers AI, Vectorize, R2, and Browser Run. It now embeds image pixels natively with Qwen3-VL-Embedding and Matryoshka representations, while text-only models can still search images after ToMarkdown captioning. Text and PDF limits rise from 4 MiB to 10 MiB, with OCR for scanned PDFs. Billing starts November 1, 2026, and the free monthly allotment is 1,000 semantic queries plus 1,000 full-text queries.
