Cloudflare lets Gateway and DLP call Workers inline for custom traffic handling and policy checks.
Cloudflare announced programmable controls for Cloudflare Gateway and DLP by tying policy decisions to Cloudflare Workers. A new Forward action, in public beta for all Zero Trust plans, sends allowed HTTP traffic to a Worker that can read headers and bodies and transform requests. Custom Functions, expected before year-end, let customers supply their own data and validation logic during policy evaluation. Cloudflare says Gateway and Workers share locations, so the handoff is a local call rather than a cross-network detour.
