The road to the agentic browser: A Kitesurf update
Cloudflare’s Kitesurf agent browser adds WebMCP, more web standards, and full Browser Run coverage.
Cloudflare updated Kitesurf, its Cloudflare Workers browser built for AI agents rather than human browsing. Kitesurf now supports WebMCP, letting agents call functions a site exposes instead of simulating clicks, and it passes more than 730,000 Web Platform Tests subtests, roughly 500,000 more than at launch. Added standards include CSS layout and typed OM, custom elements, URL-based modules, and more reliable iframes, with engine changes aimed at agent-loop latency. Kitesurf also has full Browser Run API coverage for CDP, Playwright, Puppeteer, and MCP, including Quick Actions from a Worker binding.
