ShinyHunters Suspect Rey Reportedly Detained in Jordan, Helping FBI Identify Group Members
Jordan detained ShinyHunters suspect Rey, who is reportedly helping the FBI identify other members.
Authorities in Jordan reportedly detained Saif al-Din Khader, known as Rey or ReyXBF, on September 29, 2026, and he is cooperating with the FBI to identify other ShinyHunters members. Brian Krebs previously described him as an administrator of Scattered LAPSUS$ Hunters and of Hellcat and BreachForums leak sites, and Khader said he had assisted law enforcement since at least June 2025. The FBI says the crew allegedly breached more than 140 organizations and collected at least $70 million; recent activity included hijacking Cl0p's darknet site via an unpatched Grav CMS flaw and stealing about three terabytes from the FBI jobs portal. Dutch police also arrested Pepijn van der Stap last week, which ShinyHunters denied was connected to the group.
