Ubuntu patched Linux kernel flaws in NFS, IPv6, and Netfilter for Azure kernels in USN-8851-3.
Ubuntu published USN-8851-3 to fix several Linux kernel vulnerabilities in Azure kernels. The issues are in the NFS server daemon, IPv6 networking, and Netfilter, and are tracked as CVE-2025-38724, CVE-2026-53131, and CVE-2026-53221. Ubuntu says an attacker could possibly use the flaws to compromise a system. The notice does not report active exploitation.
