Proofpoint Brings OpenAI GPT Cyber Models into Security Operations to Help Defenders Investigate Threats Faster

Proofpoint launched its SOC Analyst Agent, an agentic investigation tool powered by OpenAI Daybreak models, now in private preview with Q3 GA planned.

Proofpoint introduced the SOC Analyst Agent, the first capability to emerge from its membership in the OpenAI Daybreak Defense Network, which it joined in June 2026. The agent converts natural-language questions into structured, traceable investigation findings across Proofpoint alerts, logs, DLP events and user risk signals, while leaving remediation decisions to human analysts. It is in private preview with select beta customers, and general availability is expected by the end of Q3 2026. Proofpoint cites its 2025 report finding that 54% of organizations already use AI-enhanced capabilities to triage and investigate alerts.

A Wall Street Journal report, republished by the New York Post, details the previously low-profile past of Cami Clark, wife of Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei. Before marrying Amodei in 2022, Clark co-founded a 'luxury porn' startup called Eddice and in 2012 unsuccessfully pitched Jeffrey Epstein for investment, who declined with 'Can't do sex TV.' Clark previously dated Google co-founder Eric Schmidt for about three years and later introduced him to Amodei; Schmidt became one of Anthropic's key early investors in 2021. Though Clark holds no official role at Anthropic, she reportedly acts as Amodei's strategic adviser and networker as the company moves toward a public listing that could top $2 trillion this fall.

Meta debuts its Muse AI agent. Will consumers trust it?

Meta launched Muse, a consumer AI agent powered by Muse Spark that connects to users' apps to execute tasks like emailing, booking travel, and payments.

Meta introduced Muse, a personal AI agent for US users that connects to email, calendars, payments, shopping, and other services to execute tasks such as booking travel, lowering bills, and completing purchases via Link by Stripe. The agent runs in a dedicated Muse Secure VM with a separate Sentinel agent kept apart at the system level, and Meta claims it cannot see passwords or payment data and does not share conversations with ad systems. Muse is free to start, with Power ($20/month) and Maximum ($100/month) subscription tiers, and is available on the web, iOS, Android, and WhatsApp, with Meta AI glasses support planned. The launch follows Meta's $18 billion multistate consumer-harms settlement and comes as rivals like Gemini Spark and Claude Cowork push agentic AI.
