Det-LIME: Detector-Aware, Multi-Instance Local Interpretable Model-Agnostic Explanations for Automated Marine Mammal Detection

Det-LIME extends LIME to multi-instance object detection explanations, improving attribution for harbor seal aerial surveys.

Det-LIME adapts LIME to object detection by combining per-detection weighting, a proximity kernel emphasizing box-adjacent regions, and IoU-based matching to track instances across perturbations. It was evaluated on aerial drone imagery for harbor seal detection plus a seabird case study, and compared against vanilla LIME, Stabilized LIME, Deterministic LIME, and gradient-based attribution. Using Attribution Ratio and Max Saliency Hit Rate metrics, it consistently improved multi-instance attribution and produced box-aligned explanations useful for debugging and data augmentation.

SlipSense: Multimodal Tactile Learning for Low-Latency and Generalized Slip Detection

SlipSense fuses a 32x32 piezoresistive array and MEMS accelerometer to detect robotic grip slips within 23.1 ms, generalizing zero-shot across platforms.

SlipSense is a multimodal tactile slip-detection framework built on TacV5, a sensor combining a 32x32 piezoresistive array at 240 Hz and a 3-axis MEMS accelerometer at 8 kHz. It performs modality-specific encoding, intra-sensor fusion, and cross-modal attention with causal temporal prediction at 240 Hz. On a 1.4-million-frame dataset spanning 37 objects it achieves 96.7% Macro F1 with a false-positive rate below 1.6%, detecting 76% of slip events within 23.1 ms. Trained solely on UMI data, it transfers zero-shot to a Tesollo dexterous hand across unseen objects, sensor units, and platforms.

FreqSpaNet: Frequency and Spatial Learning of SFPF for Physical Layer Hardware Integrity Detection

FreqSpaNet learns spatio-frequency polarization fingerprints to detect unauthorized wireless hardware replacement, reaching 96.31% mean AUROC across seven replacement scenarios.

FreqSpaNet is a representation learning network for open-set hardware anomaly detection using spatio-frequency polarization fingerprints (SFPFs), which capture device-dependent responses across frequencies and directions. A frequency branch models local variations among neighboring frequencies while a geometry-aware spatial branch models directional relationships via angular information, combined through adaptive fusion and complementary pretraining. It achieves a mean AUROC of 96.31%, 9.05 points above the baseline, and is verified under seven hardware replacement scenarios.

EventEgoHands++: Event-based Egocentric 3D Hand Mesh Reconstruction with Real Dataset

EventEgoHands++ reconstructs egocentric 3D hand meshes from event cameras using instance-level detection and a 1M-frame real dataset.

EventEgoHands++ adds a Hand Detector estimating instance-level bounding boxes and masks for both hands, plus Adaptive Attention that dynamically gates attention based on detection results to learn inter-hand relationships. The authors extend the synthetic N-HOT3D dataset and construct EEH-R, the largest real-world event-based egocentric hand dataset to date, with roughly 1 million annotated frames including low-light conditions. Experiments on synthetic and real datasets show consistent improvements over baselines.

Tracking the Unseen: An Occlusion-Robust Framework for Target Tracking Under Full and Long-Term Occlusion

Occlusion-robust tracker combining YOLOv11n, Kalman filtering, and appearance Re-ID cuts identity switches and beats OccluTrack by 18.1% MOTA on OVIS.

The framework integrates YOLOv11n object detection, Kalman Filter motion prediction, and occlusion-aware appearance-based re-identification to maintain target identity through full and long-term occlusion. Six Re-ID architectures were evaluated under identical conditions, with the Occlusion-Aware Mask Network (OAMN) performing best. On the public OVIS dataset it improves MOTA by 18.1% and IDF1 by 25.1% over OccluTrack while reducing identity switches by 12.8%; on a custom military surveillance dataset it achieves MOTA 0.734 and IDF1 0.729.

How much of F-Droid is LLM generated?

A FOSS maintainer manually graded 102 F-Droid apps from the September 12, 2026 update batch, finding many show signs of LLM-generated code.

A student and FOSS app maintainer reviewed 102 apps pushed to F-Droid on September 12, 2026, assigning each a three-tier rating for likelihood of LLM-authored code (mostly AI >50%, hard to say/mostly human, no signs of AI). The heuristic relies on commit aesthetics, README and branding style, and the presence of agentic infrastructure like Claude Code or Codex, which automatically places an app in the 'mostly AI' tier. Example ratings include Amber (Nostr event signer) as mostly AI, and Aria for Misskey as showing no AI signs. The author stresses reliable detection of LLM-generated code from text alone is impossible, so ratings are approximate.

Vulnerability Localization Benchmark: Measuring Agentic Security Analysis at Repository Scale

VLoc Bench tests 27 language models at locating vulnerable files in 290 repositories; best system reaches 0.229 File F1 and 38.4% of tasks unsolved.

The Vulnerability Localization Benchmark (VLoc Bench) contains 500 real-world vulnerabilities from 290 repositories across six package ecosystems and 147 CWE categories, pairing pre-fix and post-fix repository snapshots. Agents receive only a CWE description and read-only terminal access to identify affected files, and must confirm absence on patched snapshots. The strongest of 27 language models and four static-analysis tools achieves just 0.229 File F1; 38.4% of tasks receive no correct localization, and effective localizers still report unsupported locations on patched repositories.
