Alleged TeamPCP Hackers Charged in Australia Over Major Supply Chain Attacks

Australian Federal Police charges two men with 14 offences over TeamPCP supply chain backdoors in Trivy, Checkmarx KICS, and LiteLLM affecting 1,000+ organizations.

The Australian Federal Police charged two Western Australian men, aged 21 and 23, with 14 offences for their alleged principal roles in TeamPCP's March 2026 supply chain attacks; they appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on August 27, 2026. The group stole publishing credentials from trusted open-source projects and pushed poisoned releases across five ecosystems - GitHub Actions, Docker Hub, npm, PyPI, and OpenVSX - with LiteLLM's unpinned Trivy install enabling token theft and backdoored LiteLLM releases. The FBI said the malicious code potentially compromised more than 1,000 organizations, enabled theft of over 500,000 credentials, and exfiltrated at least 300 GB of data. Oligo Security linked the group's infrastructure to activity back to 2020, previously tracked as TA-NATALSTATUS and IronErn.

153GB of stolen credentials surface after LiteLLM supply chain attack

153GB archive from the LiteLLM supply chain attack exposes secrets from about 2,500 companies, including AWS, Samsung, Cisco and Salesforce.

Hudson Rock obtained and analyzed a 153GB archive stolen in the LiteLLM supply chain attack, containing 433,909 files with secrets attributed to 2,488 corporate domains, including AWS, Samsung, Cisco, Salesforce, NVIDIA, Microsoft and Siemens. TeamPCP compromised Trivy on March 19, 2026, stole LiteLLM's PyPI publishing tokens through the build pipeline, and published malicious LiteLLM versions 1.82.7 and 1.82.8 on March 24. CloudSEK separately estimated close to 2,500 exposed organizations, and Kevin Beaumont confirmed the data is legitimate. Hudson Rock is running a global ethical disclosure effort and urges organizations to rotate secrets before the trove leaks publicly.

Hackers Can Turn Vulnerable LiteLLM AI Gateways Into Root Access and Cloud Credential Theft

Wiz found multiple LiteLLM AI gateway flaws, including a CVE-2026-59822 MCP auth bypass added to CISA KEV, enabling root code execution and cloud credential theft.

An internet scan of 3,074 exposed LiteLLM instances found 294 (9.6%) accepting the default sk-1234 master key and 191 (6.2%) requiring no authentication. CVE-2026-59822 lets a single-character Bearer token establish a valid MCP session via an OAuth2 fallback in versions before 1.84.0; the flaw is in CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. CVE-2026-59821 allows Python code execution as root in the gateway container via unsanitized Custom Code Guardrails registration before 1.82.0-stable, and CVE-2026-35029 permits config changes leading to RCE and admin takeover. Admin access plus pass-through endpoints can reach cloud metadata services to steal IAM credentials.

Organizations Warned of Cisco Secure FMC Exploitation

Talos identified three activity clusters exploiting CVE-2026-20079 and CVE-2026-20316, including state-sponsored and financially motivated actors, and this is the third FMC vulnerability in KEV this year after CVE-2026-20316 and CVE-2026-20131.

North Korean Hackers Deploy New Linux Espionage Toolkit

A new open standard locks AI weights to approved hardware

OPAQUE releases Weight Custody Manifest, an open standard keeping AI model weights encrypted until receiving hardware cryptographically attests to builder-specified conditions.

OPAQUE, a confidential computing company, released the Weight Custody Manifest (WCM) standard as a developer-preview specification with a Python SDK and a public test suite of 91 cases. WCM keeps model weights encrypted until the receiving infrastructure proves via CPU/GPU attestation that it matches builder-signed conditions, and decryption access can be revoked later if conditions change. OPAQUE says it ran the attestation exchange on an NVIDIA H100 and on AMD and Intel confidential servers hosted on Azure and Google Cloud, with two independent SDK builds producing identical output across 5,948 files. The public quickstart only exercises protocol logic on synthetic evidence and skips GPU cryptographic verification, and the standard cannot distinguish an authorized key from one physically extracted from hardware.

The MCP endpoint accepts any Bearer token and grants a valid session (CVE-2026-59822), confirmed exploited in the wild via honeypots and added to CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Custom code guardrails allow post-auth root-level RCE via exec(compile(...)) (CVE-2026-59821), while pass-through endpoints lack URL validation, enabling cloud credential theft in post-auth scenarios. All assigned vulnerabilities have been patched; the research was presented at DEF CON 34.
