How Cloudflare detects MCP traffic and helps secure it
Cloudflare Gateway now detects Model Context Protocol traffic via protocol-level heuristics to expose shadow MCP usage and enforce approved-server access.
Cloudflare Gateway identifies Model Context Protocol (MCP) requests using protocol-level heuristics. Security teams can use the signal to discover shadow MCP traffic on managed networks, enforce Portal-only access for approved MCP servers, and block direct connections. The updates extend standard gateway and zero-trust controls to AI agent traffic.
Rubrik MCP gives AI agents controlled access to security intelligence
Rubrik launched MCP support exposing Rubrik Security Cloud APIs to enterprise AI agents with RBAC, configurable permissions, and OWASP MCP Top 10 guardrails.
Rubrik announced Rubrik MCP (Model Context Protocol), giving organizations' AI agents a secure, programmable path to Rubrik's data, identity, and application intelligence via the Rubrik Security Cloud API schema. Teams can save multi-step recovery or compliance workflows as reusable, deterministic tools, with role-based access control parity and OWASP MCP Top 10 aligned guardrails. Rubrik engineered its agent architecture with Anthropic's teams for multi-step reasoning in incident response, and says Rubrik AI is now trusted by one-third of its global customers.
Credentialed Pre-Port Discovery: Don't Probe the Host, Ask it
Rapid7's version 8.58 adds credentialed pre-port discovery, letting scan engines query hosts for listening TCP/UDP ports instead of network probing.
Rapid7 documents credentialed pre-port discovery, available from version 8.58 as an off-by-default per-template option under Asset Discovery. The scan engine authenticates with existing SSH, Scan Assistant, or Windows credentials and receives the host's authoritative list of listening TCP and UDP ports, skipping the network port scan. Hosts without matching credentials silently fall back to network port scanning. Trade-offs include reporting firewall-blocked ports the engine cannot reach, longer scans, and early termination findings caused by repeated connection failures.
ANY.RUN & SentinelOne: One Workspace, Instant Context for Rapid Response
ANY.RUN integrates its interactive sandbox, IOC lookups, and STIX/TAXII threat feeds natively into SentinelOne for faster automated malware triage.
ANY.RUN and SentinelOne launched connectors that embed interactive sandbox analysis and threat intelligence into the SentinelOne console via Singularity Hyperautomation. Suspicious files and URLs from alerts are automatically submitted to the ANY.RUN sandbox, with behavioral verdicts and risk scores returned into alert notes. On-demand IOC lookups draw on sandbox history from 16,000 organizations and 700,000 analysts. A separate STIX/TAXII feed streams verified malicious IPs, domains, and URLs through the SentinelOne Marketplace TAXII Connect app.

The company cites data that third parties now account for almost half of enterprise breaches, up over 60% year over year.
Mars Security brings threat intelligence to detection in real time
Mars Security launched Real-Time Intel-Based Detection, converting advisories from CISA and Mandiant into backtested MITRE ATT&CK-mapped detection rules for CrowdStrike, Wiz, and Splunk.
Mars Security announced a capability that automatically turns newly published threat intelligence from sources like CISA, Mandiant, Unit 42, and Microsoft into MITRE ATT&CK-mapped detection rules. Each rule is written in the native query language of the customer's telemetry (CrowdStrike Falcon, Wiz, Splunk, firewalls, identity providers, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks) and backtested against 30 days of the customer's data before deployment, with indicator scoring to drop noisy or stale indicators. The platform also maps existing detection coverage, flags gaps such as AWS CloudTrail tampering and pass-the-hash movement, and delivers some recommendations as open pull requests for detection-as-code workflows.

Can AI make threat intelligence easier? One platform thinks so
Feedly positions its AI-driven Threat Intelligence platform to cut CTI collection time, scanning 10,000+ sources with 1,000 AI models and reporting 70% time savings.
A profile of Feedly Threat Intelligence describes how CTI teams such as RH-ISAC reduced threat data collection from 10 hours weekly to 2-3 hours after adoption. The platform scans over 10,000 open web sources using 1,000 AI models to extract TTPs, CVEs and IoCs into a real-time Threat Graph queryable via an Ask AI LLM with source citations. Customers including GreyNoise, Sopra Steria, gematik and GISA reported measurable gains such as 20 hours saved daily and earlier vulnerability flagging than CISA 65% of the time. The product integrates with Anomali ThreatStream, Cortex XSOAR, Microsoft Sentinel and OpenCTI, plus a REST API and GitHub scripts.
OpenAI Builds ‘Defense Factory’ Where AI Agents Continuously Find and Fix Vulnerabilities
OpenAI unveils a Defense Factory where AI agents continuously discover, validate, and fix vulnerabilities, integrating GitHub, Snyk, Semgrep, Tenable, and ServiceNow.
OpenAI introduced a Defense Factory, an agent-first cybersecurity operation that connects AI agents to developer and security tools via APIs, CLIs, and Model Context Protocol integrations including GitHub, GitLab, Snyk, Semgrep, Tenable, Jira, Linear, and ServiceNow. During an internal security sprint, over 250 people across more than 100 service areas closed 53 urgent or high-priority issues on day one, achieved a 90.6% accepted ownership-assignment rate, and Codex generated all remediation patches with only 0.53% rolled back. Agent-assisted deduplication flagged 37% of findings as duplicates, and runtime validation reproduced 19.5% of findings, cutting the false-positive rate to 0.81%. OpenAI argues defenders must exploit a temporary 'defender's window' using source-code access and frontier models before open-weight models enable autonomous offensive agent fleets.

Product showcase: Doppler secures secrets for humans, pipelines, and AI agents
Doppler's secrets management platform centralizes credentials for engineers, CI/CD pipelines, MCP servers, and AI agents with runtime injection and dynamic secrets.
Doppler stores API keys, database URLs, tokens, and certificates in a single control plane and injects them at runtime, replacing .env files for human and machine identities including AI agents. It supports OIDC with short-lived identity tokens for Azure, AWS, and GCP, dynamic secrets scoped and time-boxed to single sessions, SCIM provisioning, 50+ integrations, and an MCP server that lets agents request configurations natively. Permissions are enforced at each layer so raw secrets stay out of logs, prompts, and model context, with versioning, rollback, SIEM log forwarding, and cloud or on-prem deployment.
