Researchers built a $7 gadget for anyone paranoid about hidden cameras in hotel rooms
KAIST-led researchers built SweepLED, a sub-$7 smartphone LED clip using AI to detect hidden cameras with 93.9-95.1% accuracy.
SweepLED, built by KAIST with the National University of Singapore and Singapore Management University, clips 15 LEDs to a smartphone camera and sweeps multi-angle light while the phone films reflections. A spatio-temporal AI model compares LED-on and LED-off frames to distinguish lens reflections from glossy surfaces across three viewpoints. Testing on 30 objects, 12 with hidden cameras, achieved 93.9% accuracy handheld and 95.1% static. Core components cost under $7, targeting privacy checks in hotels and short-term rentals.
Siemens Teamcenter
Reflected XSS in Siemens Teamcenter /auth/ redirect flow lets unauthenticated attackers inject JavaScript into authenticated sessions (CVE-2026-58113).
CISA republished Siemens advisory SSA-157465 for CVE-2026-58113, a reflected cross-site scripting flaw (CVSS 6.1) in the /auth/ authentication redirect flow of Siemens Teamcenter V2412, V2506, V2512, and V2606. An unauthenticated attacker can craft a URL that injects arbitrary JavaScript into an authenticated user's browser, enabling data theft or actions within the victim's Teamcenter session. Fixed versions are available for all affected releases; Enzo Alvarez of Bishop Fox reported the vulnerability.
Critical N-able N-central Vulnerability and Active Exploitation
N-able N-central pre-auth RCE zero-day CVE-2026-86218 (CVSS 10.0) is exploited in the wild; on-prem admins must upgrade to 2026.3 HF4.
N-able disclosed a third N-central vulnerability, CVE-2026-86218, a pre-authentication RCE rated CVSS 10.0, and released hotfix 2026.3 HF4 superseding build 2026.3.1.13. Huntress reproduced an exploit chain involving an authentication bypass (CVE-2026-86206/CVE-2026-86207) after a fully patched customer's N-central production server was compromised on September 4. Attackers appended strings like .invalid to account names and probed the /remoteControlAction.do?method=getPierDetails endpoint; Huntress worked with Cloudflare to disable adversary tunnel infrastructure. Hosted N-central instances are already patched; on-prem administrators must upgrade immediately.
