TransNormal-2: Geometry-Grounded Rectified Flow with Edge-Aware Decoding for Precise Normal Estimation

Willison generated pelicans-riding-bicycles SVGs with newly accessed GPT-6 Astra at low through max reasoning levels and rendered them in a comparison grid against GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra, and Luna. Astra's outputs were markedly more coherent, while even the best GPT-5.6-Sol images remained largely abstract shapes. Astra does not support a reasoning=none setting, so all comparisons involved reasoning-enabled runs.

Multi-Grid Post-Training for Long-Form Multi-Shot Video Generation

Under the same token budget, MovieGrid generates 6.05x more shots than Temporal Packing in a 1,616-frame video. It achieves state-of-the-art intra-shot consistency of 0.9131 versus 0.8086 for HoloCine and inter-shot consistency of 0.5914 versus 0.5384 for StoryMem.

Experiments show it recovers the one-sample t-test almost exactly, outperforms the Welch test on worst-case size over a constrained variance-ratio range, and delivers higher power and much faster runtime than profile likelihood-ratio techniques on small-to-moderate samples.

Learning 3D Editing without Paired Supervision via Generative Prior Distillation

BVB: Benchmarking Agentic Video Understanding via Programmatic Reconstruction in Blender
