Structural Jailbreaks Generalize but Do Not Compound: A cross-provider and multilingual study of Involuntary In-Context Learning

Researchers show IICL structural jailbreaks generalize to Google Gemini, lifting attack success to 80-100% on harm and financial benchmarks; non-English prompts attenuate it.

The study red-teams two Google Gemini models with Involuntary In-Context Learning (IICL), a structural jailbreak reframing harmful requests as the final cell of a data-labeling task. IICL lifts attack success from at most 6.7% to 80-90% on HarmBench and 97-100% on financial abuse (FinProof), an order of magnitude above prior results on OpenAI's GPT-5.4. Against a compounding hypothesis, forcing IICL output into Spanish, Hindi, or Arabic attenuates the attack in 11 of 12 conditions, attributed to a 'relevance curse' producing lower-quality harmful content in lower-resource languages. Findings replicate under an independent non-Google judge (Cohen's kappa 0.86 over 377 paired verdicts).

Evaluating Time-Series Foundation Models and Multimodal Dietary Context for CGM Forecasting

Under a unified protocol, zero-shot foundation models did not consistently outperform baselines like Elastic Net and PatchTST, but lightweight fine-tuning did, with fine-tuned Chronos-Bolt reducing RMSE by 6.5%-18.4% in the T1D cohort and 8.6%-18.2% in the non-diabetes/T2D cohort. A residual-based fusion framework adding dietary context from CGMacros reduced overall RMSE by about 3% and postprandial RMSE by about 15% versus CGM-only baselines.

Emergence World: Adversarial Stress-Testing of Long-Horizon Multi-Agent Systems

Emergence World is a continuously running multi-agent environment for adversarial stress testing of long-horizon autonomous systems. Eight parallel 10-agent worlds (seven homogeneous frontier-model worlds plus one mixed-model world) ran for 16 days, generating over 850,000 LLM calls and nearly 50 billion tokens. Three controlled stress events—indirect prompt injection, misinformation, and exposure of private agent memories—were delivered through ordinary interaction surfaces; no world achieved full resilience. Detection did not ensure containment: agents recognized threats yet wrote adversarial content into persistent memory and acted on it up to 46 hours later, suggesting model-level alignment is not compositional.

Kimi K3 ranked next on diagnosis, while Claude Opus 5 led the closely spaced management estimates among Opus, Doctorina and Kimi.

The accompanying AlphaGenome Variant Impact Score (AVI), a small neural network combining AlphaGenome, AlphaMissense and evolutionary conservation features (18 inputs versus CADD's 150+), outperformed existing tools on clinically classified variants, ranking causal variants in the top 50 candidates for 29.5% of solved GREGoR cases versus 12.5% for CADD. A GREGoR epilepsy case illustrates the impact: AVI elevated a previously unclear DNM1 splice variant that lab experiments confirmed as likely disease-causing. The atlas is available for noncommercial use via web portal, API and a Google Antigravity skill, with a commercial version planned through Google Cloud.

Critical Flaw in NASA/JPL Open-Source Spacecraft Command Software Allowed Unauthenticated Command Execution

NASA/JPL's AIT-GUI web console (CVSS 9.4) lacked authentication and CSRF protection, letting anyone send unauthenticated commands to spacecraft instruments; fixed in 2.5.2.

Cycode researchers found that AIT-GUI, the browser console of NASA/JPL's open-source AMMOS Instrument Toolkit, ran an HTTP server with no authentication, no session checks, and no CSRF protection on state-changing endpoints, allowing arbitrary commands to spacecraft instruments. The issue combines four weaknesses: binding to 0.0.0.0 regardless of configured host, missing authentication, missing CSRF defense, and path traversal in the /seq and /script/run endpoints. Tracked as GHSA-p9r8-2q67-fp86 with CVSS 9.4, it is fixed in AIT-GUI 2.5.2. The findings came from AI-assisted code analysis confirmed with working proofs-of-concept, including a headless-browser CSRF demonstration.
