Jackrong/Qwopus3.8-27B-Flash-GGUF — new model trending #26 on Hugging Face

Community fine-tune Qwopus3.8-27B-Flash, built on Qwen3.8-27B, cuts agent reasoning latency with 12.8% faster decoding and 80.7% MTP acceptance.

Jackrong released Qwopus3.8-27B-Flash, a fine-tune of Qwen3.8-27B optimized for long-running agent workloads, reporting 12.8% faster decoding and 80.7% multi-token-prediction acceptance. Training used roughly 1.5 million teacher-scored SFT examples filtered to the top 10%, followed by reinforcement training with NVIDIA NeMo-RL and GSPO. The author notes an explicit trade-off: MMLU-Pro mixed-set scores are lower than the base model, and a known bug can produce incorrect Python indentation. Author-provided benchmarks have not been independently verified.

Google’s Gemini 3.8 Flash takes on bigger AI models at a lower cost

Google released Gemini 3.8 Flash with a security-focused Cyber variant that produces 2.6x more correct patches and found a critical vulnerability in under two hours.

Google launched Gemini 3.8 Flash for developers and a gated Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber model reserved for vetted security teams through the new Fairwind program. The company says the model beats most larger frontier models on the DeepSWE v1.1 engineering benchmark at lower cost, and Chrome Security reports the Cyber variant produced 2.6 times more correct patches than the best commercial models while Google's Cloud Vulnerability Research team found a critical foundational vulnerability in under two hours. The models show significant prompt-injection robustness gains measured by Gray Swan and carry CBRN misuse safeguards, with cyber-offense restrictions on the standard version. Pricing matches Gemini 3.7 Flash at $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output tokens.

We have a year to fix security everywhere

Blog post warns that cheap open-weight GLM 5.3-flash, once abliterated, could enable mass AI-driven vulnerability exploitation, urging industry-wide patching now.

An essay argues that Z.ai's open-weight GLM 5.3-flash—runnable locally on roughly $6k consumer hardware at 20-45 tokens/second—combined with 'abliterated' variants from groups like DeAlignAI that score 0% on HarmBench-320 puts dangerous hacking capability in nearly anyone's hands. GLM 5.3 scores 84.5% on CyberGym and 54.4% on ExploitBench, versus GPT-6 Astra's 100% and GPT-5.6 Sol's 78.5%, and the author cites evidence of frontier models exploiting real-world infrastructure. The author calls for using LLMs (Project Glasswing, Daybreak) to find and fix vulnerabilities industry-wide before adversaries weaponize cheap open models.

Repeat-After-Me: Black-Box Adaptive Visual Prompt Injection

Researchers unveil Repeat-After-Me, a black-box visual prompt injection achieving over 80% success on Qwen3.6-27B and 47% on GPT-5.5.

Researchers present Repeat-After-Me, a black-box adaptive visual prompt injection that induces frontier VLMs to reveal PII or make malicious tool calls via injected images. It exceeds 80% attack success rate on Qwen3.6-27B and 47% on GPT-5.5 even when the benign user prompt is unrelated and does not authorize the injected task. In a real-world OpenClaw Discord deployment, a minimally injected image can overwrite TOOLS.md, enabling later remote code execution and secret exfiltration.

SimpleMemVLA: A Simple but Effective Native-Video Memory for Vision-Language-Action Models

SimpleMemVLA passes full timestamped video history straight to a VLA backbone, setting state of the art on four memory benchmarks.

SimpleMemVLA is a vision-language-action model for long-horizon manipulation that removes the dedicated memory module entirely. It keeps sampled history intact and feeds it to the backbone as timestamped video, with the hidden states of a generated sub-task serving as the only channel into a standard flow-matching action head. Prefilling the shared history prefix during action execution keeps latency close to a single-frame VLA. The system sets a new state of the art on four memory benchmarks and outperforms retrieval, compression and recurrent-state mechanisms, with causal interventions confirming the policy genuinely reads its history.

How Does mHC Use Its Residual Streams? Selective Routing and Near-Identity Mixing

Analysis of DeepSeek-V4-Flash shows four-stream mHC residual blocks use only about two streams effectively, with late-layer mixing providing little benefit.

The study examines the four-stream residual pathway of DeepSeek-V4-Flash, finding typical attention or FFN sites effectively use about two streams and that residual mixing is modest, occurring primarily in early layers. Replacing late mixers with identity increases C4 perplexity by only 1.9% while replacing early mixers raises it by 41%. Retaining the three largest routing weights per token increases perplexity by at most 2.7%, showing the model uses only part of the flexibility afforded by the four-stream design.
