Apache Nutch CVE-2026-41869 (moderate) lets unauthenticated users force shutdown or interrupt jobs via the Nutch Server REST API; fixed in 1.23.
A missing authorization and improper resource shutdown flaw in the Nutch Server REST API allows unauthenticated users to force a shutdown or interrupt running jobs. Apache Nutch versions 1.10 through 1.22 are affected. Version 1.23 fixes the issue by removing the Nutch Server; where upgrading is not possible, administrators must restrict access to instances running Nutch Server.

Unit 42 analyzed an Upatre downloader variant compiled in December 2016 that went largely undetected by automated systems, featuring heavy code flow obscuration, on-demand decryption of network communications, and novel virtual machine detection. The sample enumerates running processes, computes CRC32 hashes XORed with a hard-coded key, and sleeps if analysis-related processes such as vmtoolsd.exe or python.exe are found. It masquerades with Google Chrome icons, disables Windows Defender, Firewall and other security services, injects code into msiexec.exe, and resolves .bit Namecoin domains like bookreader[.]bit via hardcoded OpenNIC DNS servers over TCP.
Cisco Identity Services Engine Information Disclosure Vulnerability
Cisco patched an ISE API flaw letting an authenticated administrator view sensitive data including hashed credentials via crafted API requests.
A vulnerability in the Cisco Identity Services Engine API allows an authenticated remote attacker with valid administrative credentials to view sensitive information, including hashed credentials usable in future attacks. The flaw is caused by insufficient validation of user-supplied API request parameters. Cisco has released software updates.

The Zero Day Initiative disclosed a time-of-check time-of-use flaw in the Linux kernel's net scheduler packet classifier API that permits local privilege escalation. Exploitation requires the attacker to first execute high-privileged code on the target system. ZDI assigned a CVSS rating of 7.5; no CVE id is provided in the text.
