DDRop Attack Forces Intel TDX Confidential VMs Into Debug Mode and Exposes Memory
KU Leuven and ETH Zurich researchers released DDRop PoC hardware that forces Intel TDX confidential VMs into debug mode and exposes plaintext memory.
Researchers from KU Leuven, ETH Zurich, Google, and Durham University published proof-of-concept code, hardware designs, and firmware for DDRop, a DDR5 interposer that injects parity errors to drop selected cache-line writebacks. Because Intel TDX, Intel Scalable SGX, and AMD SEV-SNP lack per-line cryptographic freshness, processors decrypt and accept stale DRAM contents as current state. The PoC flips a victim's ATTRIBUTES.DEBUG flag to enable TDX debug mode, then copies victim memory in plaintext and can forge attestation reports. Affected environments include Intel 5th- and 6th-generation Xeon Scalable with TDX; Intel says the attack falls outside its cloud-computing threat model.

Microsoft Teams for Android Vulnerability Exposes Sensitive Information
Microsoft patched CVE-2026-65812 in Teams for Android, an information-disclosure flaw that can leak credentials under specific conditions.
Microsoft fixed CVE-2026-65812, rated Important, which can insert sensitive information such as credentials into data sent by Microsoft Teams for Android (build 1416/1.0.0.2026133602). Exploitation is remote and low-complexity, requires low privileges plus user interaction, and impact is limited to high confidentiality impact. Microsoft says exploitation is less likely, with no public PoC, disclosure, or in-the-wild exploitation; the fix ships via the Teams app update on Google Play. Ofek Levin of Enclave reported the flaw through coordinated vulnerability disclosure.

Fake Apple Support AI Calls Target Stolen-Device Owners for Passcodes and 2FA Codes
SOCRadar details AnonyMousKIT, a phishing-as-a-service platform using AI voice agents posing as Apple Support to steal passcodes and 2FA codes.
SOCRadar's Threat Research Unit documented AnonyMousKIT, a credit-metered phishing-as-a-service platform that strips Activation Lock from stolen Apple devices across email, SMS, WhatsApp, recorded calls and AI voice agents. The 'Alice from Apple Support' personas request the device passcode, Apple ID credentials and a live 2FA code, with lures citing the handset's model identifier and live Find My status. Of 200 recovered AI calls made between August 31, 2025 and May 30, 2026, 179 targeted Brazil, and the calls cost $19.24 total via voice platform Vapi. Exposed log paths revealed 30 kit installations on 42 domains and 6,092 send attempts family-wide between March and July 2026.
Windows 11’s strongest security defenses can be bypassed without a screwdriver
Researchers found a script-only attack, 'Download More RAM', that rewrites DIMM configuration chips to bypass Windows 11 VBS and HVCI security boundaries.
Researchers at the University of Birmingham and Durham University showed that overwriting configuration data on unprotected DDR4/DDR5 module chips creates memory aliases that let attackers with existing privileged access defeat Virtualisation-based Security and HVCI, re-enable blocklisted drivers, kill EDR, and bypass group policy. Microsoft assigned CVE-2026-23670 and shipped mitigations in its April 2026 updates; systems with Secure Boot enabled are protected. Affected unprotected product lines are estimated at more than half of the high-performance consumer memory market and over 70% of the gaming segment.
