CVE-2026-34908: UniFi OS Auth Bypass Vulnerability

Ubiquiti disclosed CVE-2026-34908, a CVSS 10.0 authentication bypass in UniFi OS letting network-adjacent attackers alter device configuration without credentials.

CVE-2026-34908 is an improper access control flaw (CWE-284) in Ubiquiti UniFi OS devices, disclosed in UI Security Advisory Bulletin 064, with a CVSS 3.1 base score of 10.0. An unauthenticated network-adjacent attacker can bypass access controls and modify system configuration, with scope-changed impact on downstream network services such as routing, VPN, and connected access points. Fixed firmware is available, and workarounds include restricting management ports to trusted subnets, isolating management interfaces on a dedicated VLAN, and disabling remote access features. No public proof-of-concept code was observed at the time of publication.

Cisco Integrated Management Controller Argument Injection Vulnerabilities

Cisco patched multiple argument-injection vulnerabilities in Cisco IMC's web management interface allowing authenticated attackers root command execution.

Cisco published an advisory covering multiple argument injection vulnerabilities in the web-based management interface of Cisco Integrated Management Controller (IMC). An authenticated, remote attacker could exploit them to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system and elevate privileges to root. Cisco released software updates and states there are no workarounds; the advisory carries a High Security Impact Rating.

TP-Link Cameras 0-Day Vulnerabilities Allow Attackers to Spy on Users

Two zero-day flaws in TP-Link Tapo C200 cameras allowed authentication bypass and denial-of-service; fixed in firmware V5_1.4.6.

OPSWAT researchers Khoi Tran and Thai Do found CVE-2026-15315, an authentication bypass in the Tapo C200's local HTTPS interface that lets network-adjacent attackers replay an authentication value to gain administrator access, and CVE-2026-15316, an unauthenticated denial-of-service in the Wi-Fi onboarding process that crashes the camera's HTTPS service. TP-Link was notified on April 16, 2026, confirmed the flaws on July 10, and released patches on August 18, 2026 in firmware V5_1.4.6. Exploitation requires local network access but no valid account, existing session, or user interaction, exposing live feeds and stored recordings to surveillance risk.

Cisco Identity Services Engine Authentication Bypass Vulnerability

Cisco patched an unauthenticated API authentication bypass in Identity Services Engine allowing attackers to access the web-based management interface.

A vulnerability in an API of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) stems from insufficient authentication control on an API endpoint. An unauthenticated remote attacker can send a crafted request to bypass authentication and gain unauthorized access to the device via the web-based management interface. Cisco has released software updates and no workarounds are available.

Palo Alto PAN-OS Buffer Overflow Lets Attackers Execute Arbitrary Code as Root

Palo Alto Networks fixed CVE-2026-0310, a CVSS 9.2 unauthenticated PAN-OS buffer overflow enabling root code execution on PA-Series firewalls.

Palo Alto Networks published an advisory on September 9, 2026 for CVE-2026-0310, a CWE-787 out-of-bounds write in PAN-OS XML processing with a CVSS v4.0 base score of 9.2, affecting the management and dataplane interfaces. Unauthenticated attackers could execute arbitrary code as root on PA-Series hardware firewalls, while VM-Series faces denial-of-service impact and Prisma Access and Cloud NGFW have reduced, authenticated exposure. Affected releases include PAN-OS 10.2, 11.1, 11.2, 12.1, and 12.2 before fixed maintenance releases such as 12.2.3, 12.1.4-h10, 11.2.13-h2, 11.1.16-h2, and 10.2.18-h10; no workaround is available. Palo Alto is not aware of malicious exploitation but classifies remediation urgency as highest.

Fortinet FortiSandbox Vulnerability Allows Unauthenticated Attackers to Access Sensitive Information

Fortinet fixed CVE-2026-26084, an unauthenticated access-control flaw in FortiSandbox GUI rated 8.9 CVSS, with no known exploitation yet.

Fortinet disclosed CVE-2026-26084 (advisory FG-IR-26-166), a CWE-284 improper access control flaw in the GUI of FortiSandbox, FortiSandbox Cloud and FortiSandbox PaaS, rated 8.9 CVSS v3.1. An unauthenticated remote attacker can send specially crafted HTTP requests to control NAT rules and expose sensitive information. Affected versions include FortiSandbox 4.4.0-4.4.8 and 5.0.0-5.0.5 (plus Cloud/PaaS 5.0.4-5.0.5), fixed in 4.4.9 and 5.0.6. Fortinet researcher Adham El Karn found the flaw internally and the September 8 advisory reports no known exploitation.

H1 2026 Malware Vulnerability Trends

Recorded Future's H1 2026 report finds 215 actively exploited CVEs, RAT dominance, NFC payment fraud, and AI-augmented but not autonomous tradecraft.

Recorded Future's Insikt Group identified 215 actively exploited CVEs in H1 2026, up 34% from 161 in H1 2025, with the most impactful flaws combining network reachability, no authentication, and code execution. AsyncRAT was the top malware family, with AsyncRAT, Cobalt Strike, XWorm, Stealc, and REMCOS remaining top-ten staples; Android NFC malware like NFCShare and NGate enabled payment card theft and ATM cash-outs. AI-enabled attacks remained additive to established tradecraft, concentrated in Levels 1-3 of Recorded Future's AIM3 maturity model, with AI-assisted vulnerability research (e.g., Claude Mythos fixing 271 Firefox bugs in Firefox 150) inflating NVD disclosure volumes 43% above the prior six-month average. The report urges defenders to prioritize remotely exploitable RCE flaws, behavioral detection, developer credential security, and third-party oversight.
