Realtime-Venus: A full-duplex interaction system with asynchronous delegation

Realtime-Venus introduces two 9B full-duplex interaction models (Omni and Audio) that outperform Gemini 3.1 Live and GPT-4o on continuation metrics.

Realtime-Venus is a proactive full-duplex interaction system built on two separately trained 9B models: Realtime-Venus-Omni for audio-visual interaction and Realtime-Venus-Audio for spoken interaction. A dual-loop runtime lets foreground interaction continue while Realtime-Venus-Harness asynchronously executes background reasoning and tool tasks. Realtime-Venus-Omni leads on six of eight video benchmarks, including StreamingBench (70.2%), OVO-Bench (64.7%), and Daily-Omni (81.3%), while Realtime-Venus-Audio tops MMAU (78.0%) and MMAU-Pro (63.2%). On Full-Duplex-Bench v1.5, Realtime-Venus-Audio handles 75% of interruptions and exceeds Gemini 3.1 Live and GPT-4o on all three continuation metrics.

OpenAI's GPT-Live-1 API lets developers build apps that talk and listen at the same time

OpenAI's GPT-Live-1 API enables full-duplex speech apps, outperforming GPT-Realtime-2.1 with 0.8s turn-taking latency at $0.05 per minute.

OpenAI released GPT-Live-1 as a developer API for full-duplex speech, allowing applications to listen and talk simultaneously; it already powers ChatGPT voice. Benchmarks show 80.1% on full-duplex interactivity versus 45.4% for GPT-Realtime-2.1, turn-taking latency of 0.8 seconds versus 1.4 seconds, tool-calling accuracy of 87% versus 60%, and a 32% pass rate on a banking voice-support benchmark versus 12.4%. The model costs $0.05 per minute, ships twelve new voices, provides ASR transcripts and response text, and is already in production at Yelp for phone-based reservations.

[AINews] Fal’s H3 Max Live breaks the infinite videogen barrier

Fal post-trained MiniMax H3 into a 'Max' variant with 35x-faster inference, enabling faster-than-realtime AI video generation and infinite streams.

Fal post-trained MiniMax's H3 model into a 'Max' variant and optimized it for its in-house inference engine, achieving roughly 35x the speed of the official endpoint. The optimization enables faster-than-realtime video generation, demonstrated by an infinite interactive AI-generated stream productized by levels.io. The roundup also notes Meta Muse Code's general availability with an SDK, open DeepSeek-V4-Flash-Vision-Exp weights, GLM-5.3-Flash's strong agentic cost/performance rankings, and Tencent's 770B-parameter Hy4 Preview MoE with 49B active parameters.

[AINews] DeepSeek v4.1-Flash: 763B-P8B-D16B novel causal Encoder–Decoder architecture with vision marks the Return of the Whale

DeepSeek released V4.1-Flash, an open-weight 763B-parameter model with a novel causal encoder-decoder architecture, 1M context, vision input, and MIT license.

DeepSeek launched V4.1-Flash, an open-weight MIT-licensed model using a novel causal encoder-decoder architecture with 763B total parameters and asymmetric active parameters: 8B for prefill and 16B for decode. It supports 1M-token context and text+image input, priced at $0.30 per 1M input and $1.20 per 1M output tokens with a 50% off-peak discount. Artificial Analysis scored it 40 on its Intelligence Index, above DeepSeek V4 Pro 0813, and Vals ranked it the #1 open-weight model ahead of Kimi K3. Baseten shipped day-0 support and Ollama began rolling it out to paid subscribers.

Omni Interaction Agent Technical Report

Researchers release Gander, an end-to-end omni interaction model with full-duplex streaming across video, speech, and text plus agentic capabilities.

Gander is an end-to-end model unifying omni perception, realtime interaction, and agentic capabilities in a single framework, accepting continuously streaming video, speech, and text. It uses a Cerebellum-Brain architecture where the Cerebellum handles realtime conversation and the Brain handles reasoning and agentic tasks, built on a streaming Thinker-Talker design with chunk-level token streams. Internal human evaluations report spoken dialogue on par with SOTA open source models and competitive omni interaction; the models, code, and data are released publicly.

[AINews] Muse Spark 1.3 matches GPT-5.6-Sol, confirming Meta Superintelligence as the newest Frontier Lab, >90% discount for training

Meta's Muse Spark 1.3 reportedly ranks as the world's #3 model, matching frontier models from OpenAI and Anthropic with planned open weights.

The Latent Space AI News roundup leads with Muse Spark 1.3, promised in Zuckerberg's letter, which ranks #3 worldwide per AAII, is slated for open weights, and uses a pricing model over 90% cheaper when users opt in to training. The issue also covers the rumored Gemini 3.8 Flash launch and analysis arguing OpenAI's rumored looped-transformer 'Astra' architecture is a modest tweak rather than a breakthrough. Additional coverage includes ByteDance Seed's HarnessDev harness-evaluation benchmark, a retrieval-invoked actual-use evaluation method, Stanford's revamped agent engineering curricula, and Photon 2.1 adding TTS models and NVIDIA B200 support.

Public beta APIs are moving to paid general availability with $20 in credits for existing accounts.

Risks in IoT Supply Chain

Unit 42 analyzes multilayer IoT supply chain risks across hardware, firmware, and software, citing counterfeit Cisco switches and OpenWrt attacks.

Unit 42 examines weaknesses in the IoT supply chain ecosystem across hardware, firmware, operation, and vulnerability layers, noting that 89% of IT decision-makers reported IoT device growth and IDC forecast 41.6 billion connected IoT devices by 2025. Examples include counterfeit Cisco Catalyst 2960-X switches with possible backdoor access (F-Secure, July 2020), a March 2020 OpenWrt flaw enabling malicious update impersonation, and threat actor interest in TeamViewer remote support software. The report stresses that untracked third-party components and missing device inventories make it hard to assess vulnerability impact across vendors.
